Ted Ginn “off to the side” while Dolphins practice

On Monday, we learned that Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn was headed to the doghouse in Miami.

He arrived Wednesday.

Edgar Thompson of the Palm Beach Post reports that Ginn was off to the side of practice with rookie Patrick Turner and the team’s practice squad receivers while Miami’s first- and second- team offenses practiced. Davone Bess and rookie Brian Hartline appear to be the starters, with Greg Camarillo lining up with the second team.

It will be interesting to see if Ginn gets any playing time against the Jets this week. His drops have been costly this season, but he is the team’s only vertical threat and he scored the game-winner a crucial touchdown against New York just two games ago. (Why, then, are these two teams playing again already?)

Ginn did some work in one-on-one passing drills, lining up against a new practice squad safety -- Nate Ness. Ginn reportedly beat Ness to get open the end zone.

You can probably guess what happened next.
