Ravens look at kickers, but don’t sign any

The Baltimore Ravens kicked the tires on a couple of kickers today, but afterward coach John Harbaugh suggested that the team will stay the course with Steve Hauschka.

Mike Nugent and Billy Cundiff both tried out at the team’s training complex, but no signings were announced. Harbaugh said on his weekly radio show on WBAL that he still had faith in Hauschka.

“Steve works really hard, he’s really got a lot of talent. He’s our best option,” Harbaugh said, per the Baltimore Sun.

Hauschka may keep his job this week, but he appears to be on a short leash. He missed a field goal that would have given the Ravens a win over the Vikings three weeks ago, and on Sunday he missed a field goal that would have brought the Ravens to within one score of the Bengals.

Many more misses, and the Ravens will have to do more than just look at kickers. They’ll have to sign one.
