Browns claim Arnold Harrison

The good news for linebacker/special teamer Arnold Harrison is that he was claimed off waivers after getting dumped by the Steelers.

The bad news is that the Browns were the team to pick him up.

Mike Florio learned the news via a league source, and phoned it in to yours truly.  And I’ve basically phoned in this post, using the same joke Mike did on the horn.

  1. Hey Gregg, & Florio,
Thanks for duping more B.S. jokes about the Browns, we know there bad, they will improve, you are always going to be two douchebags.

  2. Why the witch hunt, Gregg with two g’s? You and Florio probably find whoopy cushions hilarious

  3. Desparate times call for desparate measures, just throw a bunch of crap on the field and see what’s left

  4. NEWSFLASH FOR “JOHNNYDOM” THE BROWNS WILL NEVER IMPROVE!!!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THEY EVEN HAD A DECENT SEASON?!?!?! AND IF YOU HAVE TO ROLL BACK IN TIME TO THE BERNIE KOSAR DAYS THEN DONT EVEN RESPOND LOL

  5. Wasn’t there a children’s book about an elephant named Babar…or Arnold?

Add me to the list also. I think they are hysterical.

  7. At least you didn’t mail it in like the Browns did this season when they hired Eric Mangini…

  8. Sean, cap key is on the right, moron. Rosenthal, you can take that joke and cram it. I expect that crap from that West Virginia trailer trash Florio, but not you. What’s next, you gonna burn couches together?

  9. @SeanTheFinFan
When was the last time they had a decent season?
Not that long ago, 2007. The Season of Dreams as we called it.

  10. I have a suggestion…
Can we OFFICIALLY stop reporting any Browns news? I mean, does it really matter anyway???
They are absolutely terrible! I’m a Browns fan and I can’t stand watching that circus act!
    Nothing but despair…

  11. When they put in the waiver claim Mangini thought he was James Harrison.
Seriously though, Arnold Harrison isn’t a bad backup. He can play inside or out and special teams, and always seemed to be a good guy. Good luck to him.

  12. He will be a great addition in that he is a hard worker and despite the bull being thrown at him he still rises above. The team is crap, not him. Coaching is a huge piece of the puzzle.

  13. Bad news?! He’s making the NFL League minimum at WORST, which is A LOT better than you two! How is that bad news?!
I’ll sit on an NFL bench for 10 years, travel the country, get everything for free, and make the league minimum without a problem! Where do I sign up?
This Arnold Harrison guy can have my job if he’d like. I’ll gladly trade him!

  14. We were also 9-7 in 2003, but who gives a shit. As fans, we must protect our city and team. It’s not our fault our foundation is about as stable as Steven Hawkins’ knee ligaments.

Good God, what a freakin’ moron. The Browns were 10-6 two years ago, numbnuts.
Only total neanderthals leave the caps lock on.
Meanwhile, you’re a Dolphins fan. Are you *sure* you wanna bring up teams that do nothing year in and year out?

  16. Not only were we 10-6 in 2007 but we hung a 41 on the Fins that year, the same year that they went ONE AND FIFTEEN!

  17. Dont’ know why the Steelers let him go. He was a good special teams player. And their coverage until is obviously hurting right now.

  18. He’s a good guy; I wish him well. Too bad they let Anthony Madison go at the beginning of the season.

  19. Pittsburgs lost! and as for you haters with your degrading smart comments get it right, he has two super bowl rings and a tremendous amount of skill and integrety, to bring to the the clevland deads. Incidentally how many of you blogers make what he does. I only pray he stays on the bench and not hurt himself for such a lousy un grateful bunch of losers with crappy fans ub loyal fans!

  20. A great asset to the Brown’s. The Steelers lost…Arnold played great with the Eagles, Dogs and Steelers and I’m sure he will do great with the Browns. The Steelers should have cut from the top of the team….did you not see what happen Thursday Night (12-10-09)
