Harris, Kampman injuries look bad

Although nothing will be certain until MRI results are in, injuries suffered by two of the Packers’ top defensive players today appear to be serious.

Both Packers cornerback Al Harris and linebacker Aaron Kampman suffered knee injuries during today’s win over the 49ers, and Packers coach Mike McCarthy sounded extremely concerned about both injuries.

“I won’t have more information until tomorrow, [but] both injuries did not look very good, there is some concern,” McCarthy said, per Greg A. Bedard of the Journal Sentinel.

Citing an unnamed league source, Brad Biggs of NFP reports that Harris has been lost for the season with a torn ACL. Considering that Harris’s agent, Jack Bechta, is one of the owners of NFP, it’s probably safe to say the source has good information.

The losses of Harris and Kampman would be very bad ones for a Packers team that improved to 6-4 and is well positioned in the NFC wild card race.
