Warner injures hip in big win over Vikings

The good news for the Arizona Cardinals was that they manhandled the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night.

The bad news, possibly, is that quarterback Kurt Warner will be dealing with another injury.

Warner told Andrea Kremer after the game that he “banged” his hip on the last throw he made in the 30-17 win. It’s the hip other than the hip that was surgically repaired in the offseason.

“I really don’t know what it is right now,” he said. “It doesn’t feel horrible. . . . It might hurt for a couple days.”

Warner was seen limping late in the game and after it.

Warner completed 22 of 32 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns. The Cardinals held Adrian Peterson to 19 yards on 13 carries; the team’s leading rusher was Percy Harvin, with 22 yards on two attempts.

Arizona also intercepted Brett Favre twice -- after he had been intercepted only three times in eleven games. Favre appeared to be forcing many of his throws, in part because receivers weren’t consistently open and in part because he was as harassed and hurried as he had been at any point this season.
