The 2009 season has ended for Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Brian Finneran.
The Falcons announced today that they’ve placed Finneran on injured reserve after he suffered a knee injury against the New Orleans Saints. Finneran’s season ends with 11 catches for 111 yards.
“Brian has been a staple around this team for a long time,” Falcons coach Mike Smith said. “He’s one of the guys that I respect a whole lot, the way that he plays the game.”
The Falcons also signed wide receiver Troy Bergeron from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and signed wide receiver James Swinton to the practice squad.
