Lions part ways with Terrelle Smith

On Sunday, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs claims that, on the second play from scrimmage during Baltimore’s Week 14 game against the Lions, fullback Terrelle Smith targeted Suggs’ injured knee.

Per a league source, the Lions waived Smith on Wednesday.

It’s unknown whether there’s a connection between Suggs’ claim and the decision to part ways with Smith.

Smith signed with the Lions as a free agent in the offseason. He had spent 2007 and 2008 with the Cardinals. Previously, he played for the Saints and the Browns.
