Patriots downgrade six players

The Patriots will try to get their first true road win of the season without their two best defensive lineman.

Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and defensive end Ty Warren were among the six Patriots downgraded to out late Saturday.  They did not make the trip to Buffalo with the team.

UPDATE: Expect Adalius Thomas to get back on the field.

Running back Fred Taylor, guard Stephen Neal, tackle Nick Kaczur, and defensive tackle Myron Pryor were also downgraded to out.

There was some hope Taylor would return to the lineup, but it will continue to be the Laurence Maroney, Sammy Morris, and Kevin Faulk show in the New England backfield.

Expect to see a lot of running in this game from both teams. The Bills have the worst rush defense in the league statistically, and the Patriots will have their hands full with Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch.

Buffalo won’t be crying for New England’s sudden rash of injuries.

The Bills have been one of the most banged up teams in the league all season and they are desperate to end New England’s twelve game winning streak over Buffalo.

  1. This game will have less scoring than all of us commentators on a typical Friday night.
Don’t deny, you know all know it.

  2. Cool. I need some good news for my fantasy lineup. Just picked Lynch up in FA, now he is paired with Thomas Jones. With Wilfork and Lynch out, I might have a shot at this game..

  3. If Wilfork, Warren, and even Pryor are out, does that mean the Pats have finally activated Brace?
