Cowboys replacing Nick Folk with Shaun Suisham

The Dallas Cowboys are finally changing kickers.

After trying out kickers today in response to Nick Folk nearly costing them Saturday’s game against the Saints, the Cowboys have decided to sign former Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham, Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting.

Suisham’s first game will be on Sunday against the Redskins. In 12 games for the Redskins this season, Suisham made 18 of 21 field goal attempts, with a long of 48 yards.

There’s no word yet on whether the Cowboys have cut Folk, as Ed Werder of ESPN reported that they might put him on injured reserve. But either way, Suisham is now the Cowboys’ kicker.
