Vick misses another practice, questionable for Sunday

Eagles quarterback Mike Vick suffered a quad injury on Sunday against the 49ers, possibly after being struck by a stray snowball.

He hasn’t practiced at all this week, and he’s officially questionable for Sunday’s game against the Broncos.

“Michael Vick has the quad contusion and we’re still working with him to see if he can come around and be able to give us something on Sunday, so we have him listed as questionable,” coach Andy Reid said on Friday.

The list of players who are probable to play for Philly includes running back Brian Westbrook, who is scheduled to make his return to action after suffering last month his second concussion in two games.

“We’ll just see how his numbers go and how he feels,” Reid said of Westbrook.  “I’ll stay in communication with him during the game.  He’s always shot me straight so I will have trust in him if he continues to do that.  He will have a chance to play, we just have to see how he does.”

Also probable is receiver Jeremy Maclin, with a foot injury that knocked him out of the Week 15 game against the 49ers.

  1. Hope it was thrown by a stray pit bull. Poor dog, he’ll be called a racist if they find out who he is.

  2. You cannot spell courage without Vick.
Actually many of his fans cannot spell courage, period.

  3. Yeah when he broke his leg he refused to return until he was 100%. Yet when a dog was less than 100% it was hung, electrocuted, slammed to the ground, or shot.
    How courageous?

  4. Wow you guys should be stand up comedians……hilarious jokes guys!!!!!
Seriously, those first three comments were some of the lamest jokes I have ever heard…

  5. JunkYardDogg… Your an idiot. Florio was joking about the snowball. Vick was running and was tackled low.

  6. C’mon People, lets see you go to jail on felony charges. Come out of jail and get some sort of job that pays well. It won’t happen. Vick is a talented football player and it takes a lot of him to hang his head and walk out onto the field. I couldn’t do it. I probably would never be able to do it. I couldn’t show my face in public after losing everything. He at least is willing to face scrutiny and be a man about it.

  9. how uncourageous of him!!!! hes injured, guys. courage isnt playing with an injury. the word for that is usually stupid.

You, sir, are an idiot. For 1.5 mil a year I would do what he does naked and smiling.

  11. Vick doesnt need practice when he has courage like he must have in order to be the most couragous guy in the eagles locker room. What does that say about the other 52 guys?

He hasn’t limped like that since he left prison.
Was not hit low. Was a clean hit, actually just grazed his legs. Considering it was done by someone Vick’s size makes it even more laughable.
How does it feel knowing your hero is a b*tch?
The quadriceps femoris, also called simply the quadriceps, quadriceps extensor, quads, is a large muscle group that includes the four prevailing muscles on the front of the thigh. It is the great extensor muscle of the knee, forming a large fleshy mass which covers the front and sides of the femur. It is the strongest and leanest muscle in the human body.

  13. This time of year EVERYONE is playing with injuries, but I guess since he is such a vital part of that offense, they should sit him. Maybe he’ll ask to be deactivated Sunday so he can help orphans and battered women.

    __________
It’s a bruise. He can play his 3-4 snaps and gain 2-3 yards like always without much risk of hurting his bruise worse.
    Vick Bounty

This is a BIG part of the reason people have an issue with him getting the award you dumb POS. Vick isn’t a man, has never been, will never be. He’s closer to a psychologically defective, serial killer tendencies, little boy that thinks hes gone through so much more than all the rest of the world. He’s the biggest POS Ive personally seen.

  16. Who gives a damn about dogs, shut up people. I wish you would show this much so called “compassion” to the troops we are losing in the middle east.

  17. Hey WildBird,
If you can’t treat a dog well, how do we expect you to treat a human with respect. Our men and women are fighting for a reason. I’m not going to spend time telling you why, if you don’t get it, you are ignorant.
God Bless America. God Bless our Soldiers.
We lost over 3,000 of our brothers and sisters on 9\11, I will never forget, I will never forgive.

  18. Who says we don’t ? As a matter of fact, you make a great point. Our troops overseas are extremely heroic. Do you think they don’t report for duty when they have a bruised quad ? Of course they do because they are committed to so many other things that they think are more important than themselves. Any one that thinks Vick could walk in their shoes for one day is only fooling themselves and is as ignorant and delusional as he is.

  19. Tell why it would be QUESTIONABLE that Vick would really have to PLAY anyway…So far he has done almost nothing as far as game time is concerned , and showed he was yet his former self…
They are bringing him along slowly, and it looks like he could yet be and asset to Philadelphia football future, especally if Mc Nabb gets hurt or whatever….
It make good football sense to have a very good back up to their first stringer QB in every club today, the game is so violent and almost self destructive from week to week…
One can see the opposing teams defence is out to kill all the good QB’S, and even B.Ferve can pass when his teams offensive line can’t protect him. Cest la vie…right?

  20. Damn People! I thought here in America, if you commit a crime, are convicted, go to prison and serve your time, you are suppose to get a fresh start when you come out?!?! Have you every heard the old saying, “He paid his dues to society.?” I’ve raised dogs my whole life, pitbulls as a matter of fact, and I do not condone Michael’s actions. But, you people act like he murdered humans! People today forget that their pet is not REALLY their “baby”. IT’S A DOG!!!!!!! No matter how many little outfits you dress it up in, or much you hug it, kiss it, carry it around in your purse, or how much you let it lick you in the mouth, it’s still A DOG!!!!!!! When “FiFi” or “Rover” dies, we eventual go out a get another one to replace them. We don’t try to obtain a replacement for Mom or Dad when they kick the bucket…that’s the difference in being a human being and a family “pet.” So, get over it people! Yes, he did wrong. Yes he served his time.
No, your “baby” doesn’t look cute in that ugly sweater. And yes, “IT” is still a “DOG!!!!!”

  21. Come on let him play so that maybe someone can break his leg and end this shit heads time in the NFL
The real truth is people who have commited lesser crimes can not even get jobs only the NFL give work to Convicks

  22. Who gives a damn about dogs, shut up people. I wish you would show this much so called “compassion” to the troops we are losing in the middle east.
    ——————-
What makes you think we don’t?
Stop trying to downplay his actions or divert attention elsewhere. Just shows you really can’t argue about anything that we say about him.

  23. Damn People! I thought here in America, if you commit a crime, are convicted, go to prison and serve your time, you are suppose to get a fresh start when you come out?!?! Have you every heard the old saying, “He paid his dues to society.?”
    ————————–
Nobody gave a rat’s a** about him when he was crying himself to sleep in prison.
He made the decision to return to the NFL knowing full well the sh*tstorm it would create.
If he wants to put himself in the spotlight then he deserves all of the scrutiny he is getting and more.
Keep felons out of the NFL.

  24. Sometimes I wonder who Florio’s audience was. Anything pertaining to Michael Vick provides a quick answer.
With the exception of a few guys here who seem to have actual ives and actual perspective, the majority of folks here are a bunch of bitter, pathetic, ignorant, uneducated, socially-retarded slobs who seem to hate the world and everything in it. As you’re all so miserable and seem incapable of having rational conversation, why dont you guys do everyone a favor and just kill yourselves.

  25. I’m still hoping he gets bit by a rabid dog. Rabies is not a pleasant way to die but Vick is very deserving of this fate. It won’t be as painful as what his Bad Newz dogs suffered thru, but it’s a start.
By the way, what’s happened to all the public service work he was supposed to be doing since he got out of the joint? I haven’t heard of a single off the field project he has been involved in. I guess he’s too busy being courageous.
