With the Vikings trouncing the Giants, the race for the No. 2 seed in the NFC comes down to two teams: Minnesota and Philadelphia.
Late in the second quarter of Sunday’s game between the Eagles and the Cowboys in Dallas, the Cowboys have jumped out to a 14-0 lead.
It could be worse; another Dallas drive deep in Philly’s end of the field ended with a batted ball that was intercepted by Joselio Hanson.
But the gaffes have balanced out; with the Eagles threatening, quarterback Donovan McNabb fumbled a shotgun snap, and the Cowboys have recovered.
If Dallas wins, they’ll host a playoff game next weekend.
And it could be the Eagles who return for a second act.
