Four Week 17 rematches still possible

Last Sunday, Todd Wright of Sporting News Radio pointed out to us that the four wild-card games could be rematches of four Week 17 contests: Eagles-Cowboys, Packers-Cardinals, Bengals-Jets, and Patriots-Texans.

Peter King has pointed out via Twitter that, according to Joe Gesue of NBC, the four rematches will happen if the Cowboys beat the Eagles, the Jets beat the Bengals, the Raiders beat the Ravens, and the Chiefs beat the Broncos.

In one respect, the notion of four games being replayed next weekend is more than a little boring. On the other hand, it would be sufficiently unique to make it worthwhile.

Especially since it would mean that the Texans have finally made it to the playoffs.
