Turner not expected to play

While nothing official has been announced, Michael Turner will miss another game Sunday because of his ankle injury, according to John Czarnecki of Fox.

Turner has not practiced all week, so the news isn’t a surprise. Turner has taken only one carry since Week Twelve and only 13 carries since Week Ten.

There was a lot of preseason chatter about Turner’s ability to stay healthy after a huge workload in 2008 - 377 carries.

If Turner is unable to play today, he will finish the 2009 season with only 178 carries. He actually improved his yards per carry average to 4.9 when he was on the field and still scored ten touchdowns.
