When Mike Holmgren became the new president of the Browns, former team president Mike Keenan was reassigned (i.e., demoted) to the position of chief financial officer.
It’s still a plum gig, but it’s clearly a step down from running the show.
But amid rumors that Keenan has now exited the team’s employment, a reader points out that Keenan is nowhere to be seen on the official list of front office employees.
It’s possible that Keenan’s duties will be assumed by Bryan Wiedmeier, whom the Browns recently named their executive vice president of business administration.
No announcement has been made, and we’ve contacted the Browns for comment.
