Sherman Smith will interview with Seahawks

Sherman Smith may soon join Jerry Gray as former Redskins coaches that go to work for the Seahawks.

Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times reports that Smith will be in Seattle Thursday for an interview for the team’s vacant running backs coach position. Smith was Jim Zorn’s offensive coordinator in Washington.

Pete Carroll’s first staff is almost complete. The latest hires include Jedd Fisch as quarterbacks coach, Pat McPherson with tight ends, Gray in the secondary, Brian Schneider for special teams, and Ken Norton Jr. with the linebackers.

It seems like a long time ago that Norton and Seth Joyner were doing battle as the original analysts with Rich Eisen on NFL Network. I must have been one of roughly sixteen people watching back then.
