Over the last few weeks, there have been various examples of how New Orleans is well, different.
I went to college there and can report it’s an awesome sort of different. Singular. There isn’t another place in the world like it and anyone that says otherwise hasn’t spent time there or deserves sympathy for being joyless.
It’s only a small example, but the news that the city is planning a parade for the Saints win or lose says it all.
The parade will go off on Tuesday, February 9 in the afternoon or evening, and will be coordinated Mardi Gras organizer Barry Kern and the mayor’s office.
The town is going to enjoy this moment in time, no matter how it ends.
