Carroll shows up for USC hearing

Now that Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has escaped the hot kitchen that is the USC athletics department, he has returned for a late-night snack.

Carroll is attending Southern Cal’s hearing before the NCAA Committee on Infractions. The body governing college sports currently has no jurisdiction over Carroll, given that he no longer works for a member school. But given that he had the wheel during the “Reggie Bush Gets Paid (Allegedly)” era, it was good for Pete to show up and to presumably claim that he knew nothing about any of it.

John Taylor of CFT has more.

Meanwhile, if the NCAA ultimately finds that Bush lost his eligibility prior to or during the 2005 season, there could still be a day when Vince Young opens up a box and says, “Hey, the face mask fell off this thing.”
