  1. You’re off your game tonight, Mike. I was hoping for a headline along the lines of “Adrian Peterson among this year’s NFC North free agents”.

  2. Chester Taylor and Ray Edwards are both important, other than that only Bigby and Ogunleye are really important.

  3. GB has the 2nd most in the Division. So much for the theory that TT concentrates on signing his own players.

  4. Seriously off his game… Will Blackmon is a corner, sort of, a returner anyway. And Derrick Martin is a safety not a corner. Anyway, the Pack do take care of their own. Luckily, with no cap this year, not all these guy are unrestricted. That would have been a cap nightmare.

Huh? Your statement makes no sense. They’re 2nd out of a sampling of 4 teams out of 32. And most of their free agents are restricted. And it’s only Feb. 19. Plenty of time to sign the guys they want to keep.

Wow. Out of 4 teams, the Packers have 2nd most free agents. That’s statistically significant–a group of four.
And what makes you think Thompson doesn’t intend to sign as many of those guys as he can? Wake up and smell your ignorance, Fan of Fellating Favre.

  7. Attention Chicago Bears:
You will not make the playoffs next year. It will be a horrific season on many levels. Please give the fans at least one positive thing to feel good about and resign Adrian Peterson. Letting him go would only make things worse, resigning him would make many smile.

Thomson’s and old queer and now that he has the NFL’s Official first gay quarterback he wants to get rid of all the straight players.

Now this is the DUMBEST comment I think I’ve ever read on PFT. Google Aaron Rodgers girlfriend. You can only wish you had a girl as good looking as her. You’re extremely ignorant.

Wow, must be a Viking fan, most pole smokers prefer purple and know nothing about football, two traits you will find in spades among the Viking faithful.
Two years later, the overwhelming consensus is that TT did the right thing in shipping the Egomania Brent Favre out of town in favor of an up and coming Rodgers has done nothing to temper the blind hatred of Fan of Four.
Might I suggest that he study 2001-2009 playoff performances of Favre to see the real reason why? The NFL’s biggest choke playoff QB joins the NFL’s biggest choke playoff franchise is too rich with irony for the little minds of Fan of Four and Biqueen fans everywhere.

Wow. I don’t know if people should be mad at you or not. I consider myself an accomplished and educated reader of the English language, yet I cannot for the life of me translate what it is that you are trying to communicate. With that being said, I am going to go out on a limb and assume that you are not being very polite. Your syntax is poor and your grammar/spelling are atrocious. Aside from that you are a class A commercial grade douchebag!

  12. Gay Bay Sucks
    Chisucko Sucks
And nobody minds Detroit but they are getting close
The NFC champ Vikings own that division and will continue to.
The other teams are just not on our level talent wise and coaching wise.
I hope we resign Chester Taylor. He is our unsung hero on offense.

  13. Dear Halestorm74,
The Vike’s reign in the North will be short lived. You still don’t have an answer for QB. You think you do, but for how long? How were those Vike’s doing when the Jets were getting our sloppy seconds. And now you are getting sloppy thirds. INT to lose the Championship game. Bottom line…”your” team did not win the big one. Check the score board..Division champ doesn’t mean S#$T. I don’t care how many roadside billboards you losers purchase, you’ll still be on the outside looking in come time for the only game that matters in February. Viking fans are the worst, not quite as obnoxious as Raider fans, but at least the Raiders have won the big game before.

That’s odd. I could have sworn New Orleans won the NFC this year.

    Good for you?
But seriously, the Bears are going to be awesome next year. This all sounds fantastic. Go Bears! The future is now.

  16. PFT do you guys want an editor?
    Screw-ups on Detroit Free Agents:
Cody Spencer not Simpson, Daniel Loper not Lopez, Casey Fitzsimmons is a TE not a RB

    As “the hydra” would say:
    Well said Perry.

  18. @ lionsfan2086,
Florio doesn’t care. It’s not one of the better teams in the NFL. So Florio in all his amateur, childish, bush-league journalism could care less about such things as actually looking up the Lion’s offseason roster or even bothering to put the right names and positions. It’s actually quite funny seeing his attempts at professional journalism/reporting. I don’t even think he knows what professionalism or research means.

Chickennuts…still waiting for all of those FA’s that Thompson didn’t re-sign….any day now…
    ______________
Scroll up, genius. Florio made the list, it’s kinda the whole point of the post. 10 starters, 11 if you count Williams, who probably starts next year over a 35 year old, crippled Al Harris.

  20. Rivera played 28 more games then retired to the tune of $18 million. Wahle played 2 seasons with the Panthers and was cut. Anymore studs you’d like to add?
Majik- 2 different conversations. You’re like a child who wanders into a conversation and…OVER THE LINE (name that movie).

  21. Vikings fans better be praying that Spielman puts all his effort into resigning Taylor. Chester had 138 touches this year, could you imagine if “Fumbles” Peterson touched the ball that many more times? I personally think Taylor goes to San Diego and takes over for LT.

  22. @medic406
Hey douchenozzle, uhm, didnt the vikes win the division with Tjack? and didn’t your vaunted Karen Rodgers barely avoid the cellar that year? Its hillarious that you fudgies are jumping on rodgers like he’s the second comming of the greatest thing your franchise ever had (Favre) and rip on Tjack, when they have the exact same amount of playoff experience, and Tjack has actually led his team to a NFC north crown, whereas karen had to limp in as a WC.
Tjack is a far more stable and established QB, and if he do go with him next year, you’ll know it as soon as we sweep your punk asses again.
    3peat bitches.

  23. Chester Taylor has lost a step in his game and we all saw it this year. He had a fantastic year in ’08 coming in on third downs, but this year he was slower, was indecisive rushing out of the backfield and was not explosive when catching out of the backfield. He also was not as reliable. Case in point: the Vikes @ Steelers game when he botched Favre’s throw and lost us the game. So all of you who think he is wayyyy more reliable than AP can kiss it. I love Chester, but he’s off his game. I would LOVE to see LT come to the Vikes! I still have the image of AP and LT hugging after their game in ’07 in my head. AP breaks for 296 yards and LT congratulates him. Maybe AP can help LT win the big one and they can congratulate each other.

  24. haha tjack as an established QB?! he doesnt have as many yards as rodgers, in one year, pro bowls? yea none…he was pulled halfway thru the year because he blew as much C*** as Butt Favor did in the NFC Champ game! Who cares if you won the division this year, you lost in the playoffs, just as the Packers did, didnt win the super bowl, like you always DONT… Rodgers is a top 5 QB in the NFL… (Manning, brees, brady, then Rodgers…. dont care after that) Rodgers is gonna lead pack to SB titles and many of them… mark my words
