Scout.com’s Adam Caplan reports on his website’s Combine live blog that three Raiders starters are scheduled to receive roster bonuses next month. They are left guard Robert Gallery, defensive tackle Gerard Warren, and running back Justin Fargas.
Caplan doesn’t have the price tags, but we know that Warren’s bonus is worth $1 million. Fargas is slated to receive a $1.5 million salary in 2010, while Gallery’s is $625,000.
Warren, who had just two sacks in 2009, and Fargas, who averaged just 3.8 yards per carry and turned 30 last month, may be candidates for release. Oakland is deep in the offensive backfield, and Warren is obviously overpaid.
The Raiders figure to make good in Gallery’s bonus because he has been their most consistent lineman since executing a successful conversion from left tackle.
