Colledge denies he’s mad at Packers

Hours after a report surfaced that Packers guard/tackle Daryn Colledge was “furious” about being tendered by the team, another report said that Colledge is happy in Green Bay and not mad at the Packers at all.

WBAY in Green Bay is reporting that Colledge “vehemently denied” the report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and said it couldn’t be further from the truth.

Colledge started all 16 games for the Packers in 2009, and according to WBAY, Colledge said that if he’s upset about anything, it’s that he didn’t play well enough to earn a big free-agent contract.

Of course, it’s possible that Colledge really is furious, but he realizes that he has little leverage as a restricted free agent and doesn’t think he’ll help his cause by taking his fury public. In any event, Colledge is almost certain to remain a Packer in 2010.
