Kampman to Seahawks makes sense, but still a rumor

With defensive end Julius Peppers apparently destined to become the newest Bear, there’s an emerging belief that Packers defensive end Aaron Kampman will be headed for Seattle.

It makes sense. Kampman isn’t suited to a 3-4, the Seahawks run a 4-3, they need help at the position, and their new G.M., John Schneider, worked with Kampman in Green Bay.

But Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that, for now, it’s only a rumor.

Per Silverstein, there have been no communications between the Seahawks and Kampman’s agent, Neil Cornrich.

They could occur eventually. Two hours into the permissible period for talking, however, there has been no talking.
