Tackle Stacy Andrews, the Eagles’ top free-agent prize in 2009, has opted to reduce his 2010 salary in order to stay with the team.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles have agreed to pay Andrews’ $4.1 million bonus, and that he has agreed to drop his 2010 base salary from $2.95 million to $1.15 million.
Andrews reportedly didn’t want his bonus “messed with.”
A tackle in Cincinnati, Andrews was moved to guard in Philly, while his brother, Shawn, was moved from guard to tackle.
Last year, Stacy Andrews appeared in only 10 games, and he started only twice.
