The Patriots started their offseason workout program on Monday. Quarterback Tom Brady wasn’t there.

The offseason workouts continued on Tuesday. Quarterback Tom Brady wasn’t there.

Wednesday, another session was held. Brady, not in the building.

So where has he been? Per the Boston Herald, Brady was spotted in Los Angeles.

As Karen Guregian of the Herald points out, Brady previously owned the parking space given to the player with the best offseason workout record. At one point, Brady gave it up, explaining that he still does the requisite training on his own time.

With Brady becoming more involved in the work of the NFLPA, there’s also a chance (and, yes, when we say that it means “speculation” not “hard news”) that Brady is sending a message with his absence. Before free agency opened, we thought that Brady could be one of the high-profile players who complain publicly about the lack of his team’s spending in free agency; however, the Patriots have signed defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and cornerback Leigh Bodden to long-term deals. Previously, it had been believed that the Pats would be hesitant to negotiate any long-term deals until a new labor agreement is negotiated.
