Tebow denies Wonderlic incident

So I had a telephone conversation today with quarterback Tim Tebow.

Ever heard of him?

He reached out, via agent Jimmy Sexton, in response to Tuesday night’s story regarding the incident during the Wonderlic testing at the Scouting Combine.  As a league source told us, Tebow said something in the testing room about saying a prayer.  And then another player said something in response.  And then some of the other players laughed.

But Tebow says it didn’t happen.

“Not one single word of it is true,” Tebow told me.

Tebow has a very genuine and disarming way about him.  There’s an innocence and kindness in his voice that conflicts with the image of a highly successful college quarterback, who was arguably one of the best college football players of all time.

He was nevertheless firm and resolute in his denial.

“One of the number one things for me is being someone of character and when I say something people can take it to the bank,” Tebow said.  “That story is absolutely not true.”

Tebow then named several of the other players who were in the room, and he invited me to check his version with each of them.

Tebow explained that he said nothing to the group of roughly 100 players, and he said that he spoke only to BYU quarterback Max Hall.

After talking to Tebow, I immediately contacted the source for the story, who agreed with my assessment that Tebow is “the real deal.”  But the source didn’t back down.

It’s possible that Tebow made a comment intended for Hall that was overheard by another player, who then made a profane comment in response that was not heard by Tebow.  Still, Sexton told me in a follow-up e-mail that Tebow “never said anything remotely close” to what had been attributed to him.

We’ll keep digging on this one.  We’re confident that our source didn’t make it up, but we were impressed by Tebow’s willingness to reach out and explain his position.  Though I’m usually even more skeptical when someone tells me multiple times in a seven-minute conversation that he always tells the truth, when Tebow said it I believed it.

That said, there has to be a way to harmonize the two stories.  Tebow believes he’s telling the truth, and I believe our source.  We’ll keep after this one and report back when we have more.

  1. “We’ll keep digging on this one” … you have got way toooooooooooo much time Florio

  2. Florio, finally, you actually interviewed someone you write a story about. Stop sticking up for another contact and do more work yourself. Its called journalism. Something you are in short supply of most of the time. Change the opinion of many of readers and follow this one thru. You might gain a shread of respect from more of your readers.

  3. Mike! You spent between 5 or 20 minutes on the phone with Tim Tebow? Is your life better for it?

  4. @ Florio,
Did you ask Tebow about Matthew 6:5-8?
He must have skipped that day in bible class.

  5. “(Tim Tebow) was arguably one of the best college football players of all time.”
I guess if you have so much as one person in opposition something is “arguable”, but who is arguing that? I’m not a Florida fan, nor am I one of those who think Tebow will be successful as a QB in the NFL, but I think it’s safe to take that leap and just describe him as “one of the best college football players of all time” without any diminishing qualifiers.

  6. Florio, why is this even an issue that needs digging or researching? Shouldn’t you be reporting news about football. Tebow has strong convictions and passion regarding his faith. Since when is that a bad thing in America??
I admire him even more for his stance regarding his faith and if he wants to pray before and after every snap – so be it. It’s a sad day when people can’t live out their faith in our country.
I hope my team selects him in the draft – he is a man of integrity and sounds like the story should be about the idiot hoodlum who said “f*ck you” to someone that was expressing his faith.

  7. dig that ass florio! who cares what one prospect muttered to another before they took an irrelevant test…

  8. No one cares, Mike. Just stick with your source (unless he’s not a very good source) and move on with it. It’s really not a big deal.

  9. Yeah, wow, another great non-story, but thanks for staying up late for me to solve this one Sherlock!

  10. Was he denying that he’s an annoying Jesus freak or just that he wanted everyone to pray?

  11. Florio – suggestion. You won’t have this problem if you stop reporting stupid rumors as “news”.
Just a crazy idea of mine – think about it.

  12. Wow!
is this actual reporting and not regurgitating another outlets’ report?

  13. We understand you trust Chad Henne, but what I want to know is, why was he at the combine?

  14. I”d like to say a little prayer and hope we get the real answer. I’m not sure which bank to take it to at the moment.

  15. whorio, let me say this….look at the content of all the comments so far on this….youre supposed to produce stories that readers are concerned about and want to hear….it should be obvious that no one gives a shit about this
stop pointing the gun at the head of the golden goose!! haha

  16. ” Lets all bow our heads and say a prayer for Florio that he might find the truth”
….STFU WingT ( heard from somewhere in Cyber land)
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  17. I love it that people who aupposedly don’t care about a story still take time to comment on it.

  18. “Though I’m usually even more skeptical when someone tells me multiple times in a seven-minute conversation that he always tells the truth, when Tebow said it I believed it.”
Jedi mind tricks typically happen this way.

  19. Hey Tebow –
If you’re reading this, just know that Florio is a gasbag and makes up 90% of this stuff up and attributes it to “sources”. Most of us only come here for the 10% of actually reporting (i.e. the Rosenthal and Smith posts)
You’d be better serve to pay this site no mind.

  20. Well at least Tebow is up front and addresses it. Why is Florios source hiding? Let him put his name out there and talk to Tebow about it.

  21. Someone seems to be trying hard to paint this kid as some kind of bible thumping Jimmy Swaggart type. But, let’s see……who I would rather have on my team. A young man of character who isn’t afraid to say that he stands behind his words, and is a Godly man. Or, say a guy who runs over another man in his car because he decided to drive his car under the influence of alcohol. Or, say a guy, again, under the influence of alcohol, who takes a woman under 21 years of age and has sex with her in the mop sink of a sleazy bar. So, there is something wrong with the guy who prays, and not the guys who drive drunk or rape young girls. This country and the values of it’s sports fans are twisted.

  22. Maybe you looked at your calendar wrong, Florio. April Fools Day is next week.
Oh, yeah, in a related story, Terry Bradshaw is still alive. That one never gets old.

  23. I’ll take Tebow’s word over Florio’s any day.
Florio has an obvious hatred for anyone who is religious, as he has proven time and time again, so such outlandish claims by him against someone who is openly religious just can’t be taken serious.
    You’re tainted Florio.

  24. He told you a player he spoke to, he invited you to ask other players in the room (and I am assuming who some of those players were) and you claim to be digging. Call some of the players, Tebow’s agent would be useless if he is unable to contact other players agents, and provide you with numbers or at least email addresses.
It’s the 21st century, technology enables you to be able to dig immediately.

  25. “We’ll keep digging on this one”
I bet they’ve got boys in the crime lab working in shifts.

  26. Whether you love or hate Tebow you have to be amazed at how quickly Florio can go from throwing out article after article about how awful Tebow is to suddenly writing an attempt at a poetic tribute to Tebow.
That story seemed too good to be true (good from a media standpoint) so it doesn’t surprise me if its a bunch of crap.

  27. Tebow would be conscious of the fact there were dozens of other people there who could easily get a lot out of the media by contradicting his account, he would have no reason to expose himself by denying it so extensively as to a place a call to Florio if he were lying. The source probably just took someone’s word on what happened, possibly one of many of Tebow’s detractors from the pro level, who didn’t expect Tebow to respond to the rumor, especially not directly and now your flustered source Florio is refusing to publicly discredit himself by backing down. And Florio, praying is no massive deal, they pray in the Ravens locker room with the coaching staff before and after games all the time. There’s footage of it from NFL films and the teams website. They did with Billick and now Harbaugh.

  28. After the things you’ve said about Tebow, I’m surprised he’d give you the time of day.

  29. That story seemed bogus right from the start. Use some common sense… everyone knows the guy is really religious but would anyone with half a brain speak up and request that 100 random people bow down and pray before a test? Don’t believe everything you hear Florio!

  30. Just what I said from the beginning. PFT is now TMZ.
I’m not a Tebow guy. But I’ll believe his word over your “source” any day.

  31. This is Florio trying to keep one of his “Sources” lies alive. With these blogs its all about throwing shit against the wall and hoping some of it sticks. It’s not journalism since there is zero accountability for the claims. Its all about the clicks gentleman.

  32. Lies make baby Jesus cry, Tebow.
But selling out is the first step toward success. Well done.

  33. “Tebow denies Wonderlic incident”
Swear to God my first thought for a split second was…”He’s referring to his Wonderlic scores as an incident? Bill O’Reilly would never approve of that much Spin.”

  34. If Florio owned a team, Culpepper would be throwing passes to Tebow the Tight End now.

  35. Did Tebow tell Hall he’s not really a Christian?
I really hope Tebow goes to a team in the north – away from the south. It would make him a better person. Please Cincinnati (no, not a Bengals fan).

    ————————————————-
Did he unintentionally say his source or am I confused?

  37. Yea you should really dig deep on this one, the story being so important and all…

  38. It’s amazing what Journalists and “sources” will come up with just to make their posting quota to get paid or to be used. They’ll go out of their way to make some guy look like an idiot and an asshole to get a story. I give that source an A+ for effort, an A+ for originality, but a D for Douche.

  39. Tebow’s quotes above never once include the word “blessed”, so I consider them fabricated. You were speaking to a Tebow imposter.

  40. Tebow has a very genuine and disarming way about him. There’s a innocence and kindness in his voice that conflicts with the image of a highly successful college quarterback, who was arguably one of the best college football players of all time
From Jesus Freak to BFF’s in 24 Hours! Impressive!

    —————————-
You’re just NOW figuring out that journalism went out the window a long time ago around these parts?
Be careful though. Comments about lack of journalistic integrity can be censored.

  42. To say nobody cares is just a bit ridiculous. Every single time there is a Tebow story, we blow it up. He is polarizing; people either love him or hate him, but very few people are indifferent.

  43. That story seemed bogus right from the start. Use some common sense… everyone knows the guy is really religious but would anyone with half a brain speak up and request that 100 random people bow down and pray before a test? Don’t believe everything you hear Florio!

  44. You scoffers, fornicators and Sodomites will soon be choking on brimstone and fire for all of eternity.
As it plainly states in Galatians 5:19-21
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Listen to the word of God. It is there for those who seek it, and those who scoff at his word will swim in lava along side of Satan for all eternity, along with the fag enablers, the evil killing soldiers and the likes of you all.

  45. If the source is so credible and trustworthy, perhaps he/it wouldn’t object to being named.
No better way to stand behind your word, eh?

  46. Tombrookside: I watch for football, not this soap opera crap the media tries to dig up. I’ll take anyone who makes my team better, even if he runs a guy over; guy shouldn’t have Bern walking in the street! ( actually, a freeway). So, there!!!!!!

  47. I really like this move on Tebow’s part.
I don’t think it is so much about Florio’s original Wonderlic story, which sure reeked to high heaven of sourceless conjecture given the parade of hit pieces he has run on Tebow.
So Tebow calls him up, being his disarming and friendly self, and probably gets Florio a bit star struck. Makes it alot harder to type out vitrolioc posts on a dude everyday, doesn’t it?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You don’t have to like Tebow. But if your going to spend alot of time hating someone, theres alot of dudes before him that should be higher on the list.

  48. As I said in the comments from the original story, you can just tell this is a pile of crap rumor. It’s just out of sync with reality. Even Tebow’s reality.

  49. Is it really that slow of a news day? Why not update everyone on how Rex Ryan’s tummy tuck and boob job is going?

  50. Or, say a guy who runs over another man in his car because
because the man, illegally, jumped a barrier and tried to cross a multi lane freeway and the driver was wrong place / wrong time

  51. Regardless of who’s telling the truth here Tebow or Florio’s “source”, some of the poster comments on the original thread were some of the funniest comments I’ve ever seen on this site.

  52. So who is your source? Why is he/she so important not to name if he/she is telling the truth. Tebow is clearly speaking out on this so what is your source willing to speak out on? I think your source is either being lied to or a big bullsh*tter.

  53. I definitely agree with some other posters that this has a religious twist to it. We already know based on Florio’s Limbaugh remarks and other topics he has posted about that he isn’t a fan of conservatives so why is this a story?
There is one main reason why Tebow has taken so much heat from some folks and it’s because he’s an outspoken christian. As tombrookshire said, Tebow’s gotten more criticism being an honest, high character kid then guys like Donte Stallworth and Leonard Little get for killing people driving drunk.

  54. Florio – just call the other players and ask. Don’t be a turd anymore than you already have.
As a UM fan, I am not a Tebow fan but the kid didn’t do anything wrong and is a stand up guy. He was a heckuva college QB – I don’t know how that will translate into the pros. I hope he sticks somewhere just because of his character. But these constant attempts to impugn his character are getting old. Even this article ends with a little bite. What’s your issue with this guy, dude? Maybe you need a little therapy to dig into that.

  55. Based on the title I thought maybe Tebow was accused of cheating or something similar….Incident??? Really???
If the worst thing he can be accused of is saying a prayer, then I’m sure his parents are extremely proud of him, football or no football.
    Pretty weak story.

  56. @tombrookshire
Yes, because we’ve barely heard a peep on this website about Dante Stallworth or Ben Rothlisberger.
The fact of the matter is that this is a job. I have no idea if this story is true or not, but let’s just pretend it is. If you were taking a test with a group of potential employees, how would you feel if a guy stood up before the test and asked everyone to pray? What if he was a Muslum? Do you really think that would be appropriate?
Rothlisberger and Stallworth may very well be terrible human beings, but have you done thorough background checks on everybody you work with? It’s really just a matter of how it’s appropriate to act at work.

  57. “Mike! You spent between 5 or 20 minutes on the phone with Tim Tebow?”
    Are you now blessed?
Did you ask him about his girlfriends blessed chest?
Ask the questions we REALLY want answers to!!

  58. Seriously, at the very worst here he offered to pray before a test.
    BIG FRIGGIN DEAL!

  59. Only reason they talk about him is cause he is white…. Ain’t that right Bluedevil/Atlanta?

  60. A devout Christian AND a liar?! No way! Those two simply don’t go together!
    [/sarcasm]

  61. Who do we believe? An relatively open hater of Tebow and his religion – actually one of the haters’ unknown sources or a man of deep conviction and character. The jury wont deliberate long on this one. Just wait until Tim actually does screw up and since he’s a human being he probably will. Florio will happier than a pig in sh*t.

  62. I’m glad this bs caught up with you florio. Now why don’t you knock off the tebow bashing?

  63. I wish the Raiders had a whole team full of Tebows, I wonder how long we’d remain the habitual basement dwellers we are?
I’m so sick of the tatooed, trash talking, jewlery wearing shit wrapped up in silver & black we have…………..losers……

  64. so this member of the god squad says something religious to another member of the god squad about praying. an eavesdropper then says something snarky to one of his buddies. a couple guys share a laugh at another’s expense for taking the religious thing a bit over the top.
that is such a batshit crazy turn of events that i cannot wrap my head around it.
now multiple people are investigating this story, for money (!). i need to change my career path.

  65. When I first read that story, I knew it was made up. It sounded like something very fake.

  66. Well lets see morons, we come on this site to read the posts. Some are good, some are entertaining and some are completely stupid and/or terrible. I read the story quickly cause its on the site. I reply to let the author know thats its just an idiotic thing to post or follow up on.

  67. I’ll swing the bat for Tebow.
If it didn’t happen, he’s telling the truth,
if their is no proof, then someone tried
to WORK “a pro wrestling term” you.
If someone steps up and can confirm your first story about the “F Bomb”… then out them.
If not, then cut the off as a source.
Don’t make this turn into an “internet
Rag” site because you don’t have reliable sources.
I’m not hating on Tebow and I don’t know if he will be a successful NFL QB or not, all I know is my team just traded Brady Quinn away and he never had a CHANCE of being an NFL starter here, but he could be.
    My MAN !!!!
Doug “freakin” Flutie went to Canada (as did Warren Moon) because the NFL didn’t think they could cut it and BOTH ended up being studs in both the NFL and Canada.
My point is these NFL experts don’t know crap about many players they look at.
Joe Montana really didn’t have a great throwing style.
    Poor guy.
It only got him in the Hall Of Fame as a LEADER OF MEN ! (hey.. look over there.. it’s John Candy he said in the huddle during a final drive to win a Super Bowl)… only to throw the winning strike baby !
    Tom Brady = 6th rounder.
That is enough to know they don’t know crap.
My point is MANY (why did so many teams pass on these guys in the draft) cannot measure the “intangibles”.
    Tim Tebow.
I’m not writing you off and I would adjust MY
offense to YOUR strengths because you have played in the big games and didn’t win em’ all..
but more big games then you lost…
but enough to make me think that YOU ARE A FISHER’s OF MEN.
    A LEADER.
SOMEONE TEAM MATES WANT TO GO TO WAR WITH AND LIKE IT.
Fran Tarkington WILLED some of his teams to victory by other saying “why is trying so hard” (especially with those horrible Giants team he played for) when he was running for his life because HE WANTED TO WIN.
The NFL is more worried about throwing
style and mechanics because they don’t know who has heart and who doesn’t.
    Don’t write Tim Tebow off.
Rings are becoming the new “bling” (Boston Celtics Stone age neanderthal knuckle dragging … ____ fill in the blank of hate) because players already have so much money it doesn’t matter after a few years if you don’t get “gold and ice” on a finger.
    Ask Charles Barkley.
He would flash that EVERY night on TV.
    BUT HE GOT NONE !
    I welcome your thoughts.
Tim Tebow is not Pacman Jones.
    NUFF SAID BITCHES !

  68. “Oak Trees” by Tim Tebow
Oak trees are made of oak, this I know,
Thanks to the magical teachings of Mrs. Tebow.
Oak trees are strong, but not as strong as me,
My left hand can bench press three fifteen.
Oh life is pretty. Pretty pretty life is rich,
As you watch little Tim make the SEC his bitch.
    “Urban Meyer” by Tim Tebow
Oh, I’d love to play with Urban Meyer’s wiener.
That is what I’d truly like to do.
But if I played with Urban Meyer’s wiener,
Everyone would think that he’s gay too.

  69. Let’s see, believe a guy that is known for high moral character and supposedly is Jesus in Cleats or Florio’s anonymous source….. I’m not a Tebow fan but I’ll go with Catapult Jesus on this one.

  70. Got a kick out of the comment that advises MF to do more research in order to earn respect, then he misspells “shred”, in “gain a shread of respect”.

  71. Maybe Florio should actually name his source.
I believe Tim Tebow on this one. As much unyielding praise as he got from the press over his career, every time I’ve heard him speak I never once thought 1) This guy is an asshole, or 2) This guy isn’t completely genuine.
He may not be for everyone’s liking, but he’s hard to not to at least respect as a person. I’d imagine Tebow would absolutely hate it if he were called a liar. And if I were to be a betting man on if Tim Tebow lied vs. if a ‘source’ for a ‘Rumor Mill’ on a football blog lied, I think I know which way I would bet.

  72. after all the shit you give tebow I would not have given you 7 seconds let alone minutes if I were him. I would take his word over you or your scource anytime

  73. This is one of my favorite stories you’ve ever had on your website. I will admit, I am a Tebow hater mainly because I am not a fan of those who proselytize for their religion.
This story is probably just a guilty pleasure for those who dislike Tebow, but there are plenty of us, so keep up the good work!

  74. how is it that all you complain about non stories and all thesen non football stories are justified with more comments than any other real football ones?
Go figure worst grammer I’v ever read on this webb site.

  75. Ah, Florio makes up another one. A stinky douche is always a stinky douche (no matter how popular that stinky douche gets).

Fell free to continue to live in fear and lie to yourself as you see fit.
Just don’t force it on others where it doesn’t belong, like here in a football forum.

Seriously Florio, you and your web site are becoming a joke.

  80. Mike,
Unless your source is Jesus Christ himself, I’m going to go with the guy who’s on the record- not your secret “unknown” source. For a guy who hates the turds of the NFL you sure seem hell bent on busting Tebow’s balls every chance you get. Is this even a story? WTF is it Jr High or “The League”
Now say 3 Hail Mary’s, 1 Act of Contriction and start wearing your WWTD bracelet. Sorry the offseason is so slow for content. Still enjoy the site.

  97. Hey guys, “Fred Phelps” is the name of a radical soldier hating, profanity using preacher in the state of Kansas who has been in the news for shouting down people at funerals for fallen troops. Whoever posted as “Fred” was doing so in jest, likely to extract humor from the posts of those who would mistake Fred Phelp’s brand of rhetoric as real Christian theology.
So many lemmings eager to strike out in bigotry against what they ignorantly perceive to be just that… bigotry. Bloody ironic if not overly humorous. Works everytime.

  98. Florio is an embarrassing girlscout that gossips about people that actually accomplish something. What a jocksniffing toad! You failed as a lawyer and blogging is a pathetic way to “prtened you are involved”

  100. Florio,
You’ve really outdone yourself on this “story”.
    First you say:
“When Tebow said it I believed it.”
    Very next paragraph you say:
“Tebow believes he’s telling the truth & I believe our source.”
Which is it Florio? You can’t have it both ways.
Good God this site is really going down the drain. Typical NBC investment.

  101. thats nothin i heared a rumor that while you were in college on your finales test one of the quesstions was whats a dickfor and you couldnt answer time will tell on tebows nfl carrer and your unnamed sorce is more credable than tebow what about the others he segested you ask 1 heard it you say what about everyone else NO didnt think so bow in prayer today for tommorro may be to late your call

  102. This is why there is a huge need for more games and a decent summer league. Off-season cold turkey.

  103. No accountability whatsoever.
I’m becoming increasingly convinced that this website is just a front for a company that is producing a series of case studies to sell to journalism schools.
“Protecting your sources” works when you’ve proven yourself to be a trustworthy journalist. It doesn’t when you prove yourself, time and time again, to be a base rumormongerer and peddler of opinions parading as fact.

  104. Who cares? Tebow wouldn’t be the first player that believes in god and talks about it and he wouldn’t be the last. The original story made it sound like he addressed a room of 50 players to get a prayer going and that much at least seems proven false at this point.

  105. “Tebow has a very genuine and disarming way about him. There’s an innocence and kindness in his voice…”
does somebody have a new man crush?

  106. Well, if the QB at BYU says he wasn’t being overtly Christian, who are WE to challenge that? I mean, BYU is not in any way a religious school with tons of cult members enrolled.
    I know…
    Make them swear to God…

  107. i can’t believe somebody has overtaken Favre on this site.
Florio, this only discredits you more. you continue to post stories that hurt this kids reputation, when in fact, everybody says he is the nicest person you could meet. lay off of him.

  108. This story is complete non-sense. IT NEVER HAPPENED. When are you going to retract it and admit that it’s baloney? You implied in your original article that your “source” publicly backed Timmy down. If he was so brave to stand up in front of his peers and 100 guests and holla at Tebow, why is unwilling to let your readers know who he is. It has become common place for reporters to take unsubtantiated Tebow stories with anonymous sources and attempt to “use” it to draw awareness to themselves. It worked! I have never heard of you or your site (after looking at it now I know why). I know with certainty TT never said it, I believe you know it, and I hope you set the record straight. Honesty/Integrity (while used as a punch line by you) do mean plenty to most of us. Perhaps if you chose to embrace these admirable traits (as TT has done so far in 22 years on this planet) you would find this world a little more fulfilling?

  109. Florio, why don’t you shut the F–K up and admit your rumor mill once again is nothing but a lie like 99.9% of the BS you write about..

  110. Florio just wishes he had the reputation that Tebow has.
It is also sad that all these God and Christian haters need to explode on a sports blog when there are other blogs they could vent their hate.
Easy to do when all you have to do is hide behind
some made up name and type on a keyboard!

  111. What? Tim Tebow? The best college football player of all-time? Tim Tebow?
There you go: Trying to stir up all those Roethlisberger fans.
    Haven’t they suffered enough?

Careful.. Florio might offer you a job if you keep writing like that.

  113. …I hope the rest of the nation gets the same Tebow fatigue we have been dealing with in Florida for the past 2 years…seriously, enough with the ass kissing. The guy is NOT GOD if he’s yours then there is a TeaBag Party calling your name….

  114. “We’ll keep digging on this one. We’re confident that our source didn’t make it up”
You will keep digging on this? Why don’t you get a life! There are much more important issues out there than this!
If this is what they are paying you a salary for, I say fire you!

  115. @ jimicos,
He’s aready on Florio’s payroll. Thats his unnamed source and editor.

  116. Hey Florio, maybe the “SOURCE” should have the balls to speak up instead of hiding like a wuss.
Either give up your source or have the “source” give him self up.
Its bullshit to say someone said something they flatly deny and then not know who is accusing them.

  117. Because it’s interesting people. If it wasn’t interesting you wouldn’t have clicked on the link! I’m sick of the comments section being inundated with WHO CARES FLORIO, GET A LIFE.
It’s interesting because these days there is a growing chasm between the religious and the non religious. Alot can be attributed to the catholic priest fiascos, the fact that all these silly wars going on are only because of religion, and the growing sentiment that adults that run their lives by what “god” wants are pushers and kooks. That’s why it’s interesting.

  118. Here’s something to chew on, Florio:
Tebow is on the record. That other source you’re believing so steadfastly … not. I’m more inclined to believe the guy who’s willing to make a public statement and provide names of others who can confirm his version.
Frankly, I’ve never bought the “Let’s all bow our heads before the Wonderlic” story. Doesn’t ring true, and I’d have to hear it from multiple, on-the-record sources. I’m sure he said a personal prayer before the test. So what? Didn’t you pray before taking the bar?
It’s just as offensive for others to ridicule Tebow for practicing his beliefs as it is for him to “push” his beliefs on them. BTW, can anyone provide examples of Gators’ players who feel he did that in their locker room?

My favorite post from you EVER!!

  120. @GoBrowns19
Even though with a Browns fan I agree with your point. If it wasn’t interesting you wouldn’t have clicked on it. Florio makes money by trying to get people to click on articles. Thats why you get stuff like this, or obviously biased articles, or last name confusion (IR: Cribbs traded! thats right Steve Cribbs back up place kick holder was traded).
As far as why its interesting; I am sure many people finding interesting for many different reasons. Love him or hate him (I hate him) Tebow is the most interesting draft specimen possibly ever. The debates of where he will go, where should he go, how will he do, how would he do at different positions, are endless. For me, that is why I like to lap up every bit of Tebow news, to bolster my arguments that he will indeed be a failure. People that love him obviously are looking to refute said arguments with all the information possible.
In closing, I would say just ignore the people that say they don’t care, or don’t think Florio should care.

  121. I’m sooooo glad I took time to visit this Web site and post comments three hours ago. And I’m soooo glad I automatically save my comments so I can just repost them and not feel my time was totally wasted.
