Police report coming on Santonio Holmes incident

In her lawsuit against Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes, Anshoenoe Mills alleges that the Orlando Police Department failed to prepare a formal police report after Mills complained to an officer that Holmes threw a drink that cut her under the eyebrow.

That could be changing.

OPD spokesperson Barbara Jones tells us that “the report has not been completed in the system,” which implies strongly that a report is coming.  Which implies strongly that the matter has not been closed.

We’ve separately learned that Holmes will contend that, while he was indeed present at the time of the incident, another person threw the drink at Mills.

Neither the Steelers nor Holmes have commented on the situation.

The real question, is what happens if the backups come in and we get another 04 season?
Dixon, Ward, Wallace, El, and Mendy could still be a good offense if Dixon lives up to his potential and surprises the world like Ben did in 04. I realize it is a pipe dream. But stranger things have happened. I’d rather not have the off field thugs on the team.

  4. Just another thug, vagrant Squealer that the fanbase can continue to support, against everyone’s better judgment.

What team are you a fan of?

  6. Maybe if he’s suspended, we won’t have to hear CBS second rate announcers continuously call him San Antonio Holmes, then never correct themselves, rather saying it over and over again.

  7. As easy as it is currently to wrap in some nice jabs at the Stoolers right now, I will do as another poster and poke more at their front office. While being a very solid core group that has built well for centuries, I find it amusing that in the recent span of allegations against the players that represent their franchise, they still contest that they hold themselves to a higher standard than their peers.
If that is true, why do we hear of no imminent suspensions or cuts of these people defacing their company standards? Guilty of the allegations? Who knows….. What they are guilty of regardless is stupidity. Why continue to put yourself in situations that you know first hand how they can turn out?
To simply sum up the current Steelers woes, the inmates are running the asylum. Cowher wasn’t drifting in an inflatable raft…. The Chin was captain of the cruise ship. Your choices as a passenger: Adhere to the Captains rules or you will quickly go overboard. With Tomlin…. Well, he definitely holds himself in high regard, but doesn’t back up his choice phrases with his actions. What is unfortunate for Steeler fans is that Tomlin’s recent remarks has really put the front office and himself in a bind. They are going to HAVE to make an example of someone…. And it won’t be the kicker!

  8. This franchise is quickly becoming a joke and its image is certainly a shell of what it used to be when Mr. Rooney was in charge.

  9. This party girl wants MONEY!!! When Holmes told her to leave, she should have left! What was her blood alchol level and what is her age!!!

Um, yeah, but the Cards would have blanked the Steelers about 35-0 if it weren’t for the same three guys…no?
    O-H-I-O baby

  11. Rational Person: “You don’t throw a drink in a womans face (Or anyones face for that matter). It is disrespectful and just plain wrong.”
Steeler Fan: “Sun bitch there how dares that ho get her face in the way of my boy’s drink. She outta been slapped for that one. I am gonna finds her and makes sure her lifes are is there ruined.”
Outside of Deb and a couple others you people are out of your minds.

  12. “why do we hear of no imminent suspensions or cuts of these people defacing their company standards?”
I will answer your question with 2 words : criminal charges.
Until there are none, there is no reason to suspend/cut/discipline anyone.

  13. “He proceeded to inform the plaintiff that he was an NFL football player and that he could not face criminal charges.
Subsequently, defendant offered to give the plaintiff money because he was an NFL star and could not get into trouble.
    ——————————
Surprise Surprise, Steelers are turning into the most thuggish organization in football.

  14. Great. He said/she said. At this point, I don’t care which way it goes … I just hope there are reliable witnesses, so the answers are definitive and the outcome is swift.

They are just waiting to trade them to Cincinnati!

  16. I’m sure the police officer that night did not do a police report, “the report has not been completed in the system,” is just a way of trying to cover their a$$ until they can get one done after the fact!

  17. Police report is doing WHAT to Holmes’ incident?
I’ve heard about this kind of thing and I think it’s disgusting!
    Perverts!

  18. Tune in to the History Channel this April, there’s is a new episode of GANGLAND featuring the Steelers…Ive alreday set my DVR.

  19. DB26,
Well said. Tomlin has put himself in a spot where examples will need to be made. The sad part is when a star player is benched, it is more of a punishment for the teammates and fans than the actual player. When a scrub is benched it only hurts the scrub.

  20. Oh c’mon!! Since when is throwing you’re hennesse on some hoodrat B!tch while ballin out of controll in the V.I.P. assault? He told that cheesey ho to get off his couch’s arm rest! Thats HIS armrest….not yours Ho! I was there….saw the whole thing! And that little cut on her face was her own damn fault. My man Santonio pushed her away by her face and threw his cognac on her, like any self respecting young baller would, and she LEANED INTO THE DAMN GLASS!!
Shoot…I know she did because she told me she was gunna. Few minutes earlier, I had the SAME B!TCH up in the bathroom, tryin to give her a #7. You feel me? mmm…mmmm. These ho’s aint got no manners…
Obviously a joke. Hey STARTERS…stay out of the DAMN clubs. Tough offseason….
    GO STEELERS

  21. “Tupac said, “Thug life, baby, don’t believe everything you read”
Alize and weed… talk about taking a quote out of context.
So is it OK to say that the Steelers have surpassed every other team, especially the Cowboys, as the thug criminals yet?

  22. With out the ohio college players the squeelers wouldnt have won any superbowls. It isnt Ohio, its the the urine(gold) colored water that everyone in Shitsburgh drinking.

  23. Until there is a hearing and a player is found guilty in a court of law, these are just ALLEGATIONS. Shut your traps and get a life outside of commenting non-stop on PFT! Until there is a conviction, this is the case of another money-grubbing wh0re looking for a quick buck as far as I am concerned…

  24. It’s ok because he too has not yet been charged with anything right? I am loving this on a large scale level. This is hilarious.

  25. wryly1,
As a pittsburgh turd stuck in ohio, I think they just try to balance out the jerks crossing the boarders. We must have had a lot of them move to ohio to balance out these three. ha. I keep trying to move back, but the city won’t let me till one of them leaves. ha

  26. funi says: This party girl wants MONEY!!! When Holmes told her to leave, she should have left! What was her blood alchol level and what is her age!!!
First off, no one knows at this point what happened but if some ahole tells me to leave without merit- I’m not leaving, no way, it is a free country after all.
Secondly, you and Steeler-lady need to stop posting on here b/c you are only adding to the demise of the Steeler’s rep. Leave the posting to decent fans like Deb, etc. who seem to have some ability to be logical and not completely biased.

I was just saying the same thing over on Steelers-Bashing-Post-of-the-Day #57.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed this but, it seems that every time some idiot posts one of these hit-n-run schoolyard insults they fail to mention who THEIR team is.
And when challenged to do so, they run and hide.
    Why is that?

  31. “Police report coming on Santonio Holmes incident”
sure it is…if anything had happened it would have been filed that day and he would have been arrested…you people are so gullible…you hate the steelers so much you buy this crap hook line and sinker!
More he said she said BS…why can’t any of these chicks have witnesses…JFC already!
    GO STEELERS!

  32. If he is quilty, I hope he gets what he deserves. I hate to see the Steelers in the spot light like this. Deb, I like your post and agree with most of them. You comment with reason and intelligence.

  33. lmao how does throwing a drink cut you?? What was he drinking…glass??? ooo wait maybe an ice cube. LOL
lol@tryagain .. @its a free country.. hahah come up in my house uninvited and see how FREE You are.LOL Anyway……………………………………..
I have tried to remain UNBIASED .. As a Matter of FACT i have on more than one occasion stated I will await the evidence before i make my judgement… Will I defend him til then? Damn Straight I will… Until there is charges filed and or proof of any wrong doing.. (and a civil case is proof)Its that simple.

  34. So when they aren’t beating, raping, or throwing drinks at women, what else do the Steelers do in the offseason?

  35. Hey copescabana – why do you suppose OH lets their turds go to yinzerland?
    ————————————————-
because their is no pro team in ohio that will ever win a sb?

  36. Damn, if the NFL really wants to discipline their players, forget the courts and jail time.
Like they should have done with Burress, just sentence them to play for the Browns for 2 years.
    That’s far worse than prison.

  37. I heard that although the person who threw the glass is still unsubstantiated, an examination of the girl’s face revealed the presence of Ben Roethlisberger’s DNA.

  38. Steeler-nota a lady-
I believe he threw the whole drink…glass included…
    LOL
    Stupid Bitch

  39. hayward giapunchmi: It matters not whose NFL team posters on this site root for when the subject of the article is about yet another Steelers player having a run-in w. the law. Please tell me why the team they follow has anything to do w. Ben, Santonio, Harrison or any other number of Steelers players being written about due to their law-breaking behavior off the field. I’m sure it isn’t fun having ‘your’ team being cast in an unfavorable light for its many recent brushes w. the law but such is life when Steelers players break the law. Unless the Steelers front office starts holding players accountable (not just 2nd/3rd team players), I suspect we’ll see more of the same in the weeks and months to come.

  40. @AllThat: What a stand up guy you are.. Didn’t your daddy ever tell you not to talk to a lady like that? Just keep on showing everyone what a piece of trash you are, apparently you have nothing better to do than talk $hit on an anonymous message board. Good job though, you’re the best at internetting in your moms basement, congratulations!

  41. @Sourdough …
In the Roethlisberger situation, if he’d been charged, tried, and convicted, it wouldn’t matter. We could all agree he was a heinous person, and team allegiance would be irrelevant. That isn’t the case. Strip away gossip, innuendo, and the repeated posting of material supplied by one unnamed source, and here’s what’s left:
A single 26-year-old guy went to a Nevada golf tournament and had sex in a hotel room with a hotel employee a few years older than him. No one alleges alcohol was involved. A year later she claimed it was rape and sued for $3 million. All evidence presented so far refutes her story.
A single guy celebrating his 28th birthday went bar-hopping with some friends and met up with students in their early 20s. A girl in the group later alleged he “sexually manipulated” her though no official has said how. The police say it wasn’t rape and there was no semen on her. A TV station quoted an unnamed source saying he “admitted” a consensual sex act/head injury. That story has never been confirmed.
Based on this, there’s no reason to hold him accountable, suspend him, or shred his reputation. He has never been charged with a crime and no evidence has been presented that he has broken the law. Being an occasional jackass to fans isn’t illegal. So when people demand everything from suspension to counseling to jail, yeah, you can’t help wondering what ax they have to grind.

  42. fleet10,
Love the Tupac reference. How bout: “Maybe my addiction to friction got me buggin’, where is the love? Never quit my addiction to thug”.
    Thug life baby!

  43. He probably couldn’t spell her or pronounce her name and she was offended. Ass ho no ???

  44. so basically she told Holmes…”Phuck your couch!!” and Holmes split her wig with a high ball glass. You can’t make this stuff up….hahaha

Just exactly how is the VIP room Holmes’ ‘house’? To my knowledge he doesn’t own the place- therefore he has no more right to it that anyone else who is lucky enough to be considered a VIP.
And don’t worry about me, I don’t like skank so I would never be up in your house.

  48. Rooney knows the cost of paying the ref’s to win a Superbowl, he is just getting around to the real cost of drafting thugs, criminals and rapists.

  49. Ok, I’ve been holding back but I’m gonna be the first to say this. Despite Tomlin’s reputation as a “tough” coach I’m starting to wonder if this recent barrage of disciplinary problems might be related to him. I’m just saying, I don’t remember this sort of thing happening when Cowher was coach because he would have never stood for it and probably put the fear of God into his players if they ever got out of line.

  50. @pokerpro7s …
The Steelers had disciplinary problems during Noll’s reign and during Cowher’s. This is nothing new. It just happens to involve two name players at once.
Holmes threw a drink at a woman, he didn’t rob a liquor store. I’m not excusing it–it’s appalling. But every team has someone on the roster who’s been in trouble for something similar.
Roethlisberger had a one-niter with a Nevada hotel employee. A year later she sued for $3 million claiming rape. Everything presented so far in that case indicates it’s an extortion attempt. Since he didn’t do that, it makes me skeptical that he assaulted anyone in Georgia–especially since that woman also immediately hired a civil litigator. So far PFT has run a lot of rumors and stories about Ben being rude. But the only facts released by the police are that the girl is not accusing him of rape and there was no semen on her person. Ben has never been charged with a crime.
From a PR standpoint and for the good of their players, I’m sure the Steelers will aggressively address behavioral issues. But everything really does look more alarming than it is.
