Santonio Holmes sued for assault, battery

SantonioHolmes.jpgQuarterback Ben Roethlisberger isn’t the only member of the Steelers currently facing challenges via the legal system.

Receiver Santonio Holmes, the MVP of Super Bowl XLIII, faces a civil lawsuit for assault and battery.

According to CourtHouseNews.com, the suit was filed on March 24, 2010 for an incident occurring only two weeks earlier in Orlando.

Specifically, the incident occurred on March 7 — only two days after Roethlisberger’s latest misadventures.  And this possibly proves once again that players learn nothing from the misadventures of their colleagues.

The civil complaint contends that Holmes confronted plaintiff Anshonoe Mills after she refused to leave the arm of a couch in the VIP area of the Rain nightclub.  Holmes allegedly “put his hand” in Mills’ face while attempting to remove her from the couch.  Holmes then allegedly “threw his entire glass cup of liquor” at Mills’ face, allegedly causing a laceration below her eyebrow and “blinding her temporarily.”

She claims that, outside the club, she asked a police office to “reprimand” Holmes for his conduct.  The complaint then alleges that “he” (it’s unclear whether the pronoun refers to the officer or Holmes) “proceeded to inform the plaintiff that he was an NFL football player and that he could not face criminal charges.”  Mills also alleges that Holmes then “offered to give [her] money because he was a [sic] NFL star and could not get into trouble.”

Mills claims that she “felt pressure from [Holmes] and the Orlando Police Department not to press chargers,” and that while under said pressure he made “a short victim statement incoherently stating that she was hit in the face and bleeding near her eyes, however, intended not to press charges.”  She claims that the Orlando Police Department failed to write a police report.

Holmes faces claims of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.  The owner of the club at which the incident occurred also faces a claim for negligent failure to provide adequate protection.  (Hopefully, the security tapes haven’t been covered up with new footage.)  Mills seeks unspecified damages in excess of the jurisdictional minimum of $15,000.

Stay tuned for more.

UPDATE:  I’ve spoken with attorney Jacques Cooper, who has confirmed that he represents Mills and that the action was filed last week.  He said that he has a copy of the “short victim statement,” and he asked me to call him back this afternoon to discuss the situation in further detail because, as he explained it, he is in Jacksonville preparing to enter a court hearing.

  1. the whole AFC North should be on probation or in a half way house! They should only have Bengal,Steelers and Raven players on the United Way commercials so they can complete all there community service hours!

  2. Can we just flush the entire Steelers roster down the toilet already? Its starting to stink…

  3. I imagine, like Big Ben, and James Harrison, Santonio wont be getting cut anytime soon…..
Cincinnati thinks the Steelers have a problem with criminal behavior…..LMFAO

  4. It makes you wonder why he couldn’t get security to toss her before the trouble started.

  5. Further evidence of the “high standards” that the Steelers uphold.
Looks to me like the Steelers are transforming themselves into the 2006 Bengals. Good luck with that.

  6. Dear Dead Horse,
    Prepare for some Kicking.

I will admit as a PATS fan I am laughing a little.

    Guilty.

  9. Hilarious. The Yinzers will, of course, side with Holmes, but the people who aren’t completely brainwashed know: The Steelers “holier than thou” attitude is finally catching up with them.

  10. “She refused to leave the arm of a couch in the VIP area of the Rain nightclub.”
    “Making it rain” Holmes?

  11. gonna cost him for his stupid but “typical athlete” behavoir. Learn some manners Santonio you gansta.

  12. Instead of black home and white away Pittsburgh jerseys, they just need to do black and white stripes for both home and away.

If he did this during SB XLIII the refs would have looked the other way A LA James Harrison punching a Cardinals player.

  14. She sounds classy and extremely trustworthy. LOL!
That being said, I really wish my team’s superstar players would stay away from clubs for a while.

  15. Why isn’t the Steelers Organization accused of harboring thugs and criminals on this site??? Oh it doesn’t fit Florio’s fabricated story lines for each team…

  16. Wow another Squeeler in trouble. What a shock. Somewhere the Bengals and Marvin are laughing their asses off. No playoffs this year Squeeler fans. LMFAO.

  17. “We have a very high concern about our image and how we conduct ourselves that I think is above and beyond our peers, and we embrace that.” HAHAHAHA what a joke this organization has become. I’m sure Santonio will get the Cedric Wilson treatment from the Rooneys right?? Oh wait, he’s good…..

  18. “he asked me to call him back this afternoon to discuss the situation in further detail because”
Well, you’ll surely get the strait skinny from the accuser’s lawyer. Should have this one put to bed by dinnertime.

  19. Hmmm… Why would Santonio want Ms. Mills to leave the couch? She maybe didn’t look hot enough or refused to engage in hot lezz action with someone else there. The world was denied something beautiful. Still no excuse for violence though.

  20. So, as I was saying last week, HOW IS THIS ORGANIZATION ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE BENGALS OF A FEW YEARS AGO? NO TEAM HAS MORE HIGH PROFILE CRIMINALS/”INCIDENTS.” Somehow they like to convince people they are classy?! You have to be an ABSOLUTE MORON. They’re qb has raped a girl and sexually assaulted another, they’re best receiver is hopped up on drugs and now this, they’re best defensive player beats his baby-mama, and they’re kicker has been arrested…twice! Name ONE TEAM with more high profile criminals! Oh, not to mention they’re the team that popularized steroids in the nfl according to players back in the 70s and they are responsible for RIGGED games in today’s NFL. Seriously, no franchise is as worthless.

  21. Mills claims that she “felt pressure from [Holmes] and the Orlando Police Department not to press chargers”
What does San Diego have to do with this?

  22. It’s time to realize that the Steelers are now the thugs of the NFL.
Ben, Harrison, Porter (I know he isn’t a Steeler but his troubles started before he left Pittsburgh) and now Holmes again.

  23. The squeelers should hands down be the whipping boys for NFL thuggery, arrogance, and idiocy… seriously they must designate 10 hours a week of practice learning and perfecting the art of abusing women. Clearly an organization of class and professionalism. What a joke. I’m sure everyone at ESPN will still want to talk about the Bengals issues from 5 years ago though.

  24. At the rate the Steelers are going, they could have more criminals on their team than the Ravens do. Nah, who am I kidding….

  25. You have to give credit to Dan Rooney and the Steelers Orginization. Due to the high rate of female abuse caused by Steeler players a new program is being implemented at the start of the 2011 season. Along with manditory conditioning and mini camps will be the BWYA(better watch yo’ ass) Scared Straight Program at Graterford Prison. All players will spend 3 days there as a regular inmate to learn the harsh realities of being the victim of abuse.

  26. is this really a big deal? she got a hand in the face and a drink thrown on her, possibly a little hit her face? really?

  27. What a classy program we have here in Pittsburgh.
Art Rooney is doing somersaults in his grave.

  28. i am a long time steelers fan but this is definitely a disgrace! what the devil is going on here! first ben now santonio! why can’t these guys stay away from alcohol and the bars or stripclubs! i know they are normal people like us working joes but come guys(ben, santonio) the steelers fanbase
is tired of this nonsense! we the fans have feelings
too but it hurts our hearts because we cheer for the steelers with such passion and soul like a religion! this epidemic better go away this team cant afford to loose any other players because of raw stupidity!

Bam Morris got caught with 4 kilos under Bill Cowher. Was that his fault too???? Guilty?????
Get real. A coach can’t control his players off the field. All they can do is cover it up or deal with the consequences.
    FYI –
Morris has become more well known for his off field legal troubles than his football prowess. On June 27, 1996, Morris pleaded guilty to felony possession of marijuana in a plea bargain deal in front of a Rockwall County, Texas judge.
Police testified that they found 4 kilograms of marijuana and one gram of cocaine in his car during a traffic stop. He was fined $7,000 and sentenced to 200 hours of community service and six years probation.
He was cut by the Steelers after the guilty plea and signed as a free agent with the Baltimore Ravens

  34. “If he did this during SB XLIII the refs would have looked the other way A LA James Harrison punching a Cardinals player.”
Yeah, the ref looked the other way while he searched for the flag to throw for the personal foul he called.

  35. Over-under on how many comments suggesting Pittsburgh to “stay classy”: 28

  36. BTW, people keep bringing up the Bengals. There was a year and a half of serious issues 2005-2006. Before or after that you would have to go back to the 80’s for anything worse than Alcohol arrests.

  37. The Steelers, and Holmes, you can take the rat outta the hood, but you can’t take the hood outta the rat.
Another piece of trash, wonder what Mr Rooney one of the forefathers of the NFL would think of his beloved Steelers now. The Q.B. accused 2 times for sexual assult and now this.
The Steelers are showing their true colors, they are the new low down scum team in the NFL.

  38. Sounds like more BS. I mean who has’t had a glass slip out of their hand while throwing a drink in someones face. We sure are doing a bang up job with our thugs. Ward, Farrior, Troy, Batch and El (all great off field guys) are going to need to kick some ass in the lockerroom and get these thugs back on the right track. How can you have some of the classiest (off the field before any of you ward haters say he is an on field thug) and least classy players at the same possitions.

  39. I can’t wait to get out of work so I can get myself a glass cup of liquor and relax.

  40. How far out of touch with reality do you need to be to assault a woman because she is sitting on a couch that you lay claim to? What’s next, Max Starks puts a beat down on a girl scout troop because they ran out of Tagalongs?

  41. ccoolahan14…your statements might hold some more validity, doubtful though, if you learned the difference between their and they’re. They’re means “They Are” and when you want to show possession, use “Their”… Just a simple english lesson for someone who likes to post a lot…

  42. couple super bowls and these guys are abusing women like its a contract obligation. way to be

  43. Again, If someone caused you physical harm, wouldn’t you want to press charges? I think these chicks were planted by AFC North foes. McNutty (Ravens fan) GA girl (Bengals fan) Anshonoe Mills (Browns fan) The AFC North can’t take the Steelers down on the field, so they have to get these nutcases to take our guys out in the streets.

  44. The Steelers are thugs. I wonder if they will ever REALLY test James Harrison for steroids. Dude was on a few different teams practice squads, he goes to the Steelers & all of a sudden he’s alot bigger & playing better than ever….hmmmmm??
The org is full of cheaters always have been, always will be.

  45. Makes you wonder how many times he’s gotten away with stuff like this in the past by paying people off.
At least the Bengals are not in the business of treating women like $H!T

  46. 15 grand for a hand to the face and a drink shower? Give me a break. I could see if he actually socked her, but I’ll bet this chick egged it on. Still doesn’t change the fact Holmes is an idiot. Like someone else said, get security to throw her ass out of there you moron.

  47. This is only going to get worse. Tomlin might as well just flush the whole roster and start over. As long as Rooney keeps the refs on the payroll, the Steelers will still be just as competitive, so why let all this bad PR continue?

  48. The new Steelers motto: “It ain’t a sin, if you win!” As long as those guys keep winning they’ll keep ducking charges as well. If the Bengals were winning during all those troubled seasons most of that stuff would have been a side note. Ask the 90’s Cowboys about it. They’ll tell you the same.

  49. Harrison, Ben, Holmes…and the fat, drunk & stupid crowd in Pittsburgh (in other words, the City of Pittsburgh) still thinks their stinkhole of a team is the CLASS of the NFL…I guess viewing the world through blood shot eyes atop a toothless grin can lead to such deviant thought.
    As one suggested…stay classy Pittsburgh!

  50. Suddenly, video taping defensive signals that 80,000 people can see out in the open doesn’t seem so bad.

  51. Kinda makes you take the couple Super Bowls this more or less current version of the team has won a whole lot less seriously, doesn’t it?
Not that I took them seriously anyway. if you can’t win a single Super Bowl without officiating sketchiness or steroid use attached to it, no one (outside of Steeler fans) really takes it seriously anyway.
That said, the way these mongoloids are acting, it tarnishes thier “super” rep even further. The Steelers going for a Super Bowl win is kinda like the neighborhood sex offender running for city counsel. Before you get to know him well, you’re like “maybe this guy would be good for this office”, then you find out he’s just like Rapistberger and you go, “eeewwwww, never mind.”
You guys (Steeler fans) can knock it off with the “6 time world champions” horseshit you seem to defensively chant every time the world’s against you. 90% of NFL fans don’t recognize those SB “wins” as legit anyway. if you want to see what a real, legitimate, multiple Super Bowl winning dynsty looks like, please refer to the 80s SF 49ers or the Pats or the early/mid 90s Cowboys.
    Thanks.

  53. If Sanantonio would just stay in his car smokin blunts all day none of this would happen! You can’t take these guys out of Pittsburgh and put them into crazy party towns like Orlando and Midgeville without some type of trouble breaking out.
Stay Classy Pittsburgh you are definitely winning the TEAM TURD award for 10! Hopefully your record will match and we’ll be able to make a highlight tape of watching Omar Epps fall apart as the season starts. That is looking the other way in my book.

  60. funi, wasn’t Harrison also from ohio. I thought he played at Kent U, where lambert played.

  61. Remember people, Big Ben and Holmes are from OHIO, not Pittsburgh! Typical Ohioians!
Actually Holmes is from Florida, he just went to Ohio State and Ben is from some ass backwards hick town which is probably why he adapted to western Pa. so well.

  62. It’s not Steelers that are the problem. It is Ohio Colleges. Ben – Miami, Santonio – OSU, Harrison – Kent. What is up with these Ohio players!!!!!
Keep your kids in check ohio and they won’t grow up to be jerkoff superbowl winning Steelers.

  63. I wonder if he was just trying to do the unflagged powder celebration with wine instead of the football? Why doesn’t Goodell just announce all 22 starters will be suspended for the first game and get it over with? He owes James Harrison an ejection for his punch on Aaron Francisco. I am using hyperbole here and I don’t think the majority of their rings are all that tarnished, but the fact that I can make such stinging jokes about the circus tells you they have a bit of truth. I think even Steelers fans are ready to see some sort of positive news story or Mike Tomlin announcing a suspension for Holmes. They want order restored.

  64. I don’t feel bad for piling on.
I watched the Pens-Bruins game from 2 weeks ago via stream while I was in class, loved the Pittsburgh fans (stream chat) calling Matt Cooke a Beast, a winner, a victim, not a cheap shot artist, a true penguin (Kind of agree with that one) and then saying Shawn Thornton should have been suspended for starting a fight.
    No fanbase deserves this more.

  65. Uhhhh, Jungle Juice? You may want to check the Bengals archives for the past decade. They have had a lot of issues and they’ve been drafting questionable character guys for a long time now. Marvin Lewis’ tenure there has been ugly.
Wow, how Bengals and Ravens fans think they have anything to say here is hysterical!
Also, don’t be so quick to judge. You’re all going to feel like idiots after both players are cleared and the girls confess to looking for a payday. It’s telling how so many people jump on the side of the girl because it’s the Steelers. Had it been a player from their team or any team they don’t hate they would be saying these girls are pigs looking for money.
This girl is seeking damages in excess of $15,000. Because a famous athlete made her “talk to the hand” and threw his drink on her. I can’t help but think this is probably exaggerated a bit and it’s still borderline normal behavior for a nightclub.
I’m sorry, but $15,000 (this figure will probably be well over $100K by the time her lawyers inject “psychological damage” BS into the case) sounds excessive for a cleaning bill.
But let’s set a dangerous precedent here for all famous people, shall we?

  66. Is it ironic that the only crime the Steelers don’t commit on a weekly basis is stealing?

  67. @Whines_Hard.86
Steelers won two divisonal games last year….which includes one ref-assisted win over the Ravens
Steelers also missed the playoffs (like they will again this year)
Pretty sure the AFC North can take the Steelers down on the field….Take them down like Roethlisberger seems to enjoy doing to little helpless girls

  68. nowathand,
Don’t want to se holmes suspended, but many people want to see Ben sit down a game or two, and see it come from the team, not the league.

  69. All of you Steelers Bashers are seriously idiots!
Cleve-hole Clowns fans- Drain your f-king sewers, your city smells like a public restroom! Who are the Clowns taking with one of the top 5 picks in the 2013 NFL Draft, there some really good looking red-shirt freshman prospects, your team should be scouting!
Baltimoron Ratbird Fans- What really have you done in the past 10 years! The jelousy is really, flattering, but kind of pathetic!
Cincy Bungles Fans- Do we really need to explore your worthless franchize! A decent team every 3-5 years isn’t alot to write home about!
Oakland/San Quinton Faiders- Al Davis! really! Your team is a laughing stock!
New England Bandwagon Patriots- You had a hot streak there for a second, but the history of your pathetic franchize is nothing to pound your chest about! When Belecheat finaly calls it quits, and Brady descides to handg it up, your franchize will be back to irrelevency!
Steelers, have their problems, but when all said in done all of your fans shouldn’t throw stones at are Brick house, when yours is made of stained glass!

Right, it’s just Ohio, it has nothing to do w/ having scum like Joey Porter, Hines Ward, etc. as role models in adult life……

  74. I used to be proud to be a Steelers fan. This is getting embarrassing. The Rooney’s ran a classy organization for a long time. Respected on and off the field and admired by most folks. And even the fan’s that hated us had to have a smidge of respect for us. Not anymore, they are no better than the Bungles and any other hoodlem team. I would trade Ben and Santonio right now. I’m sure I’m in the minority but I would rather trade these thugs and maybe get some pride back then “win” with them. I don’t know if Tomlin or Art Rooney can’t handle these guys but the old man can’t be happy. Ben is drama queen and will continue to be an off-field distraction. This is his 3rd such incidence. (motorcycle and 2 chicks). See if the Rams would take him for 2 number 1’s. Santonio is decent but not Jerry Rice. He as Ben has shown he has poor judgment off the field. Ill take hard working team guys over publicity hounding spoiled brats any day of the week. But it’s all about winning so I’m sure they’ll get passes and be here for the long term. Very disappointing for the fans, these guys represent the team and the city very poorly.
And I thought the Cooke hit was a joke he should have been suspended by the way.

  75. He is innocent until proven guilty………….
    Ooops he is not white…………
    My bad……………….
    Ha ha ha
But seriously, the Brotha is as innocent as Ben, but the biggest difference is the Quarterback is the face of the franchise.

  76. Isn’t all this a moot point since the Ravens have Anquan Boldin? He was probably in the weight room both nights.

  77. Seriously though, no fan base deserves this more than Pittsburgh’s…with the Eagles trailing close behind.
You are a fat, you are unintelligent, you are delusional and most likely have come in contact with crystal meth at one point in your lifetime.
Enjoy a suddenly much more competitive division. Your franchise’s legacy will always be tarnished.

  78. tryagain, read these two paragraphs and you tell me how she should be judged:
‘The civil complaint contends that Holmes confronted plaintiff Anshonoe Mills after she refused to leave the arm of a couch in the VIP area of the Rain nightclub. Holmes allegedly “put his hand” in Mills’ face while attempting to remove her from the couch. Holmes then allegedly “threw his entire glass cup of liquor” at Mills’ face, allegedly causing a laceration below her eyebrow and “blinding her temporarily.”‘
This first paragraph indicates that she was probably looking for some type of confrontation (can also be construed as a potential payday at this point). If he “bought” the room and she refused to leave she’s just looking to cause trouble. Would a normal person leave if asked in that situation? Yes, unless they were looking to be a dick. Alcohol + Fl nightclub + belligerent drunk girl + famous athlete = trouble. And an easy payout. Still, Santonio, get the bouncers to take care of it. Or stay home!
‘She claims that, outside the club, she asked a police office to “reprimand” Holmes for his conduct. The complaint then alleges that “he” (it’s unclear whether the pronoun refers to the officer or Holmes) “proceeded to inform the plaintiff that he was an NFL football player and that he could not face criminal charges.” Mills also alleges that Holmes then “offered to give [her] money because he was a [sic] NFL star and could not get into trouble.”‘
So, you people see this as believable? That a police officer (or Holmes depending on who she’s referring to) would say such a dumb thing especially when there are others around to hear it? LOL!

Take off your steeler sunglasses for a while.
And you fans are the ones who keep saying 6 lombardi trophies everytime anyone rips on them for missing the playoffs.
Seems like you need to move forward as well.

    Except maybe Patriots/Red Sox/Bruins fans..

And yet none of this is happening to us.
    LOL

  90. trickbunny:
I hate to tell you this, but no one cares that 90% of other fans don’t recognize the Super Bowl wins (where that figure came from is beyond me LOL!).
What we do care about is that people like you let us be part of the NFL brotherhood. We can’t feel normal without your approval. We realize that our Super Bowl wins are not legitimate because we have more of them than any other team.
I’m glad we have you to tell us what other fans REALLY think of us though! Keep up the good work!

  91. trickbunny says:
If you can’t win a single Super Bowl without officiating sketchiness or steroid use attached to it, no one (outside of Steeler fans) really takes it seriously anyway.

Hilarious – tell me about the Pats winning “legit” Super Bowls again? Is there a person alive on Earth who does not know that the word “SpyGate” was coined to describe how the Belicheat-led Patsies stole 3 Lombardies?
And the 49ers? You are telling me about steroids, when it was the 49ers whose star D-lineman went to jail for lying to the feds about his PED involvement? You are telling me about “legit”, when the 49ers owner used gambling money to buy all the top talent in the non-capped ’80s? An owner who pled guilty to a federal corruption case involving the bribing of a Louisiana governor and a river-boat casino?
Please. The only legit organization with multiple rings that any NFL’er should look up to is the one run by the same Rooney family since 1933.

Oh really? Then I suggest you do a ‘net search on “‘DeBartolo banned from NFL’, ‘Spygate’ and “Top Ten Dallas Cowboy Arrests of All Time'” and tell me what you find.
Really, standards of sensibility are so low around here.

Big time Steeler fan here: Few would care if the Steelers sucked. You like to act as though you’d be a loyal fan even if they were losing. Really? How big of a Pirate fan are you?

  94. Okay, for the sake of consistency if nothing more, I’m going to point out that no charges were filed, this is a civil suit–read $$$$–and Florio is quoting only her attorney. I’d like to hear what the Orlando PD has to say. I’m having a hard time believing those officers would have been impressed by Holmes hopping around saying “I’m a big, bad NFL star and you can’t arrest me.” If the OPD failed to arrest, they must have felt the situation didn’t warrant it.
That said, this isn’t the first time Santonio has gotten into trouble. Blaming these issues on Tomlin is ridiculous. He’s more of a disciplinarian than Cowher, and both Holmes and Roethlisberger were on the roster when he came into the organization. You can’t make grown men behave like grown men. But you can require each player coming into your organization to attend off-season behavioral classes that focus on everything from anger management to money management to brand management to avoiding strip clubs and bathroom sexcapades. The NFL already does some of this for incoming rookies. The Steelers need to consider creating a more intensive internal program–and where possible, writing some of these issues into player contracts.

Nope, sorry, I still don’t see it like you do. Where was it mentioned he ‘bought’ the VIP room? If so, then maybe yeah she needed to leave but if he just barged up in there and told her to get out- if it were me, I can assure you I wouldn’t have left either and that’s not inviting someone to throw something at me, that’s just standing up (or in this case, sitting down) for myself and not allowing someone to bully me.

  98. sguy2130, no matter what you think of him on the field, Ward is a super standup guy off it. Joey was a thug. Still one of my favorites steelers though. Can’t blame the new guys on Ward.

  100. OK BigFella87, Let’s do a Division Championship and Superbowl count since the Browns have been in Baltimore…1996
    Division Titles
    Steelers-7
    Ravens-2
    Bengals-2
    Browns-0
    Superbowl Titles
    Steelers-2
    Ravens-1
    Bengals-0
    Browns-0
    Need I say more?

  101. Bad decision by Santonio but WHO CARES??
We have our own lives to worry about. The NFL rosters are 55-70 men at this time of year. So two Steelers are in trouble in their PERSONAL lives. WHO CARES??
I mean, its a good read but I’m not gonna judge. Every team has their fair share of bad decision makers. I’m a FOOTBALL fan. Just let me know when the season starts and I’ll watch.
All you finger pointers know that you’ll be drafting Santonio in the 6th round of your fantasy draft, assault or no assault. So stop judging. We like football, not how a guy handles his VIP section. Remember? Haha

  102. Stihler fan,
I am not a Pirate fan because they don’t even try to win. They trade away there best guys and don’t draft studs when they can, ie weiders bay etc. They haven’t had a winnng season since I was a freshman in college. It’s different with the Steelers they try, they used to run a classy operation. I love the Steelers but they are typical of what’s wrong with sports today, it’s all about me. And as long as they win they will get a pass from the orginazation and the fans! I’m just a little tired of it, they are an embarassment and if you can’t admit you are a homer! So spare me your preaching. Let’s see if Tomlin and Rooney step up to the plate or make excuses, I’d have a hell of a lot more respect for them if they said we don’t want these type of guys on our team win or lose. What’s next we sign TO! It would be a different kind of publicity. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

  103. @Shuxion: And yet none of this is happening to us.
    LOL
Maybe the reason this isn’t happening to “us” is because the Pats had their time the past 2 yrs (19-0*, Cheatriots, etc) with their scandals, vagina injuries, etc. Now they’re just another over the hill team trying not to suck.. The Sox, well, noone cares about baseball, so you can have that one. And I didn’t even realize the Bruins were in the NHL because most of us weren’t even alive the last time they won a Cup.

Yes. The Patriots were the only one doing unauthorized taping. That’s why a league-wide memo was sent out the previous offseason. Because only one team was doing it.
In fact, a logical person might consider that the harsh punishment the Patriots received for an indiscretion every other team was doing was based more on disrespecting the authority of the new commissioner than it was about the actual act.
Of course, that’s just what a logical person may conclude. You’re free to continue with your blind assumptions.

  109. @jaybaileys
give me a break. you act like these altar boys. They are football players. If the Roman Catholic church re-up sex offenders, then NFL teams can 2nd and 3rd chances as well. It is easy to make decisions when you have no skin in the game.

  110. Apparently Santonio’s defense is going to be that he’s not the one who threw the drink, so we’ll have to see what the evidence shows, but …
If you’re arguing he had a right to throw a drink in her face because he bought the room for the night and she refused to move, please stop. He had no right to throw a drink in her face even if he owned the room and bought her for the night. If her sitting on the arm of the couch bothered him and she wouldn’t move, then HE should have moved. Grownup 101.

  111. Who is this chick.. why was she in the VIP room? Was she with someone? I jus cant imagine someone going up to a complete stranger n telling them to get out… How did they who she was…etc? Im confused…. Anyone have the WHOLE story .. or is this the Whole thing?

It’s fair to assume that a multi-millionaire would have been the one to rent the VIP room. I don’t know her financial situation, so I would assume Holmes paid for the room.

Am wanting to get rid of Santonio or Ben?. No, I’m not. You must be the “homer”. The Steelers have never been angels. People like you do make Steeler fans look stupid. I was a Steeler fan before you were born. People are this site are going off on this stuff because people like you get on here and try to tell them the Steelers are better people than the players on their teams. that might be somewhat true, but generally speaking it’s not and that’s why these people get a kick out of this stuff. It bothers you because you can’t get on here any more and rag Raven fans about Ray Lewis. I could care less about these sites. Give me W’s!!!!!! Yes, I admit it!!!!!!!!!

  121. Its time for this team to be dismantled starting with the QB and the head coach. Im a die-hard fan but I cant support this garbage anymore. Breaks my heart but I wont be using my season tickets this year. I’m going to sell them until they put a team on the field that doesnt belong in Camp Hill.
Our QB is a pervert rapist and probably a paedo.
Santonio gets arrested once a year.
    Harrison beats on women.

  122. Oh, there’s no denying it Whines_Hard.86…Steelers have been a force to recon with in the past, but as of late “The AFC North can’t take the Steelers down on the field, so they have to get these nutcases to take our guys out in the streets” seems to be a little too bold of a statement don’t ya think bud, and come’ on…..comparing the Steelers who were an established team at the time against the newly founded Ravens, that’s just horse sh*t bud!

The org is full of cheaters always have been, always will be.
    ———————————————-
1st, Harrison was on the Steelers practice squad before any other team.
2nd, Steroid testing is done by the NFL or an independent agency (not sure which) but it is not left in the hands of the teams.
But, if we all stuck to fact we would not have this site to spew forth our banal statements.
    Isn’t that right Mr. Florio.

  126. Stihler fan,
What does Ray Lewis have to do with the Steelers? If you waste your time on the Pirates that’s your fault. If you don’t like this site don’t friggin read it. The Steelers have an image problem, if you don’t get that or don’t care fine. It’s all about W’s for you, I get it. I want the Steelers to win the Super Bowl every year dude, but this is embarassing, if you don’t understand where I’m coming from than I don’t know what esle I can say.

  127. 6 times a lady… the 6 rings are in the past. Ben may get 6 years!
Holmes is just an idiot and a moron.

  128. BigFella87 , how can you say that the Ravens are the future of the AFC North??? The Steelers just won the Superbowl a little over a year ago. Last season they had some bad luck with injuries, that made them realize that they were lacking in depth a little. They are fixing that this off-season. The same corp group that one a year ago is still in place.
As for the comment about the girls being linked to the the AFC North foes, obviously I was kidding. It shows how bright you are though, to take the bait. Good luck with the Bert to Boldin combination this year. Hopefully Bert can see past those eyebrows well enough to complete a pass.

  129. I wonder if the 12yr old boy that’s being tried as an adult for murder in shitsburgh came from Ohio and was fans of these………..heroe/role models?

  130. Honestly Whines.Hard.86…you’re a moron…
You actually think I fell for your dumb ass comment about those girls…my god man….I can’t even finish this sentence, you’re such a moron!
Why do I think the Ravens are the future of the AFC North……hmmm…LOOK WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING DURING THE OFF SEASON!
They have: – Signed two proven receivers (well…maybe not so much Stallworth lol)
    – Added even more important player’s who will add depth to the roster
They have NOT: -Sexually assaulted anyone
-Embarrassed their team owners, or made jackasses of themselves over a Twitter account.
-Signed sh*tty old players that they once released….
Yep, with the direction Baltimore is going in, I’d say they are the future of the AFC North…………
    F*ck the Steelers, Go Ravens!
