Report suggests Raiders are interested in Tebow

No team is more unpredictable at NFL draft time than the Oakland Raiders, and no player’s draft position has been harder to peg this year than Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. So a report linking Tebow to the Raiders has to be taken with a grain of salt.

But the information from NFL.com draft analyst Gil Brandt that Jerry McDonald of InsideBayArea.com passes along, suggesting the Raiders are impressed with Tebow, is worth noting nonetheless.

McDonald writes that, according to Brandt, the Raiders’ coaches met with Tebow and came away impressed with the way he responded when they asked him to break down a play.

According to Brandt, Tebow went over the play and told them, “This is how it’s called with Florida, this is how it’s called with your organization, and this is how it’s called with West Coast teams.”

In recounting Tebow’s conversation with the Raiders’ staff, Brandt said, “I’m not sure if this is true.” So maybe we need to take this with more than just a grain of salt. But if the report is to be believed, the Raiders can be added to the list of teams that may be interested in Tebow.
