Travis LaBoy signs with 49ers

The NFL schedule is released in about two minutes, so let’s keep this quick.

ESPN and the Santa Rosa Press Democrat report that the 49ers have signed outside linebacker Travis LaBoy to a one-year, $1.6 million contract.

LaBoy got a big contract from Arizona two years ago, but didn’t last long with the Cardinals because of injuries.  Laboy figures to rotate behind Parys Haralson, Ahmad Brooks and Manny Lawson.

  1. I’d like to see him line up at DE over Sopoaga on pass-rushing downs.
Hopefully rotating in will keep his injury risk low.

  2. Listen up Travis and Ted Ginn as well… you guys better work your tails off and not bring the drama that you have been associated with in the past…
Essentially battling the rookie draft picks and free agents for a roster spot…Show you belong amongst the 49ers 53!
