On Thursday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that the Bills were targeting quarterback Tim Tebow.
Buffalo G.M. Buddy Nix said otherwise.
“I love Tim Tebow,” Nix told Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com. “We spent a lot of time with him, and he’s a great kid. And he’s gonna do well. But he was never in our plans. And we never intended to move up to take him. . . . I will admit we tried to move up, but it wasn’t to take Tim. It was another player, and he was gone. So we didn’t.”
Our guess is that the Bills were trying to trade up to get nose tackle Dan Williams, a 3-4 nose tackle whom the Cardinals gobbled up at No. 26.
The Bills hold the ninth pick in round two, which if you hadn’t heard starts tonight at 6:00 p.m. E.T.
