Steelers undrafted free agents

Steelers second-round pick Jason Worilds will be familiar with at least one of his new teammates when he reports for work.

The team signed defensive end Cordarrow Thompson as an undrafted free agent, giving them two members of Virginia Tech’s defense. Thompson started all 13 games for the Hokies in 2009, finishing with 25 tackles and a half-sack.

The Steelers also signed a player from Connecticut. Defensive end Lindsey Witten join three offensive linemen -- A.J. Trump of Miami, Dorian Brooks of James Madison and Ciron Black of LSU -- and UTEP safety Damon Cromartie-Smith as the team’s undrafted signees.
