When the e-mail came from the Eagles announcing the acquisition of Greg Isdaner, I instantly knew that I should know the name, but I didn’t know why I should have known it.
Then I read the text of the message. Isdaner played college football at West Virginia, just up the road from where I currently am sitting. He signed with the Cowboys in 2009 and spent portions of the 2009 season on the Eagles’ practice squad.
A three-year starter in college at guard, Isdaner joins the 80-man roster, with a long way to go before he wears the kelly green uniforms on September 12.
