Tony Romo made it to the final qualifying round for the Byron Nelson Classic, but it looks like he won’t get a chance to make the tournament.
He hoped to get a late tee time so that he could attend the Cowboys’ OTAs Monday morning and play golf in the afternoon, but the lack of entrants into the qualifying round makes a later tee time impossible, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
So Romo’s only chance to try to make the PGA event is if his 9:57 tee time is delayed due to weather. He will be at the Cowboys’ first OTA Monday.
This should keep the crazy Dallas sports radio callers that I hear on my trips there every May and June in a better mood.
