Early indications have Trent Edwards as the slight favorite to be Buffalo’s starting quarterback on Opening Day, but the Bills don’t appear close to making it official.
On Saturday, Brian Brohm ran the first-team offense in both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 team drills.
Brohm, the No. 56 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, was signed off Green Bay’s practice squad by Bills last November and made his first career start six weeks later. Against the Falcons, Brohm completed 17-of-29 passes for 146 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The Bills are using a rotation at quarterback in offseason practices. Edwards was second in order Saturday, Ryan Fitzpatrick third, and rookie Levi Brown fourth.
Oh, and Marshawn Lynch didn’t practice. Again.
