Another young linebacker has been suspended for violating the league’s performance enhancing policy.

Titans strong-side linebacker Gerald McRath will miss the first four games of the season, coach Jeff Fisher announced on Monday. A starter at the end of last season, Tennessee expected big things from the Southern Mississippi product this season.

Details regarding what McRath did wrong have yet to be revealed, but it could be a costly mistake for the Titans. The team may now feel forced to pay David Thornton $4 million to stick around.

Keith Bulluck also appears more likely to get re-signed now at a thin position for Tennessee.
