Week Two game between Titans and Steelers could be a first

As the Titans and the NFL continue to process information relating to the weekend assault “citation” issued to Tennessee quarterback Vince Young, Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com points out a scheduling wrinkle that could become incredibly pertinent come September.

The Titans are schedule to face the Steelers in Week Two. And with Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger already facing a suspension that will cover at least the first four games, both starting quarterbacks could be suspended in the same game for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.

That said, the league likely won’t suspend Young, given that he has no prior violations of the Personal Conduct Policy. In 2008, then-Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter coughed up a game check after pleading no contest to assaulting former Bengals tackle Levi Jones at a Las Vegas casino.

Then again, things have changed lately in the NFL, in light of Roethlisberger’s penalty. But it would indeed be a shocker if Young walks out of 280 Park Avenue with a suspension of any duration.
