Trent Williams hires new agent

Last month, Redskins left tackle Trent Williams parted ways with agent Eugene Parker. Also on the representation agreement was Vincent Taylor.

Now, as expected, Williams has replaced Parker with Ben Dogra. And Williams has re-hired Taylor.

Per a league source, the paperwork recently has been sent to the NFLPA with Williams’ choice.

As we understand it, Taylor has strong connections to Williams’ family, but Taylor brought in Parker given the stakes and the complexity of the deal. But Williams concluded that he and Parker “weren’t a good fit.”

So even though Taylor technically was fired because Williams was required to cancel the entire representation agreement, Parker was, as a practical matter, the only agent fired.

And now Dogra takes Parker’s place, giving CAA a whopping seven first-rounders in 2010.

The others are: Rams quarterback Sam Bradford (first overall), Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (third overall), Titans defensive end Derrick Morgan (16th overall), Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham (21st overall), Packers tackle Bryan Bulaga (23rd overall), and Colts defensive end Jerry Hughes (31st overall).
