JaMarcus Russell gets arrested

jamarcus-russell-mugshotjpg-1c36e0c64f45e32b_large.jpgFormer Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell, the first overall pick in the 2007 draft and arguably the biggest bust in NFL history, continued his descent into oblivion on Monday with an arrest for possession of a controlled substance.

Daniela Werner of the Mobile (Ala.) Press-Register reports that Russell was arrested in his home during an undercover investigation that resulted in the discovery of codeine syrup, which often is mixed with soda and called “purple drank” or “lean” or “sizzurp.”

Booked at 4:22 p.m. ET, Russell has posted bail in the amount of $2,500.  He’s due in court on July 20.

Maybe he’s simply trying to get the Bengals’ attention.

  1. Dear God in Heaven, please forgive Jamarcus Russell and give him yet another chance. Preferably with the Packers, Bears, or Lions. Amen!

  2. “Let’s see…we got some soda, oj, Purple Drank, and two kinds of Sunny D!”

  3. “purple drank” Maybe he thought the Vikes would take a look at him if this stunt works.

  4. Maybe he just needed it to wash down all those grits and hamhocks and fatback.

  5. Game, set, match. At least he won’t go broke as quickly when he’s sitting in prison.

  6. lol and what amount? Sounds like they were looking for something else and had to fall back to that. Thats readily avail over the counter without a prescription up to a certain amount within a 24 hour period.

  7. Well we know for sure that this “Drank” is not a performance enhancer.

  8. This sounds suspicious to me. Don’t get me wrong, I think Russell seems like a typical low-IQ athlete capable of phenomenally stupid decisions, but come on…codeine syrup?
I doubt anything comes of this.

  9. Well, I was too specific with my post regarding the types of codeine etc but my point really was typically when thats all that shows up in an “investigation” they were looking for something else.

  10. Okay the Bengals comment was pretty funny…here is a question for you florio…if he is not on any teams roster…is he subject to NFL discipline for a substance abuse arrest?

  11. An undercover investigation. For purple drank.
Must be the slow season in Mobile law enforcement also. Otherwise, the phrase “misallocation of resources” kind of jumps off the page here.

  12. What is the 36 Mafia? Never heard of that before. Although I have heard of the Three 6 Mafia.

If he was arrested, isn’t it safe to assume it was over the legal amount?

  14. You. Can’t. Be. Serious.
Johnny Jolly has been awaiting trial for the same stuff for 2 years now. Maybe his career isn’t over yet.
    (Yes, that was a joke).

  15. @JonEvans
Nice to see that your scope has widened to include defending Jamarcus along with Michael.
I’m impressed when people are able to broaden their horizons and show interest in more than one thing.

  16. Purple Drank….no wonder he was so sluggish…
Jamarcus, you are a tribute to people, who lack the courage to fulfill their potential, every where…

  17. YES! Tom Cable sits in his office, channeling his inner-Hannibal, “I love it when a plan comes together!”

  18. This was the Raiders’ fault too right Martinez??? I heard about JaWorthless’s addiction to codeine last season. So glad he’s gone!!!!

  19. He probably was using the codeine in his pancake syrup. Riding dirty with Mrs. Butterworth.

  20. Codeine syrup? Is that illegal?
Oh shit! I gotta go. Something to take care of.

  21. Promethazine eh? Maybe he should cough up some of that cash that he stole from the Raiders.

  22. “Paging Ryan Leaf . . . Paging Ryan Leaf . . . Mr. Leaf, your reign is over.”

  23. $30 mill and hes making fake alchohol when he can buy truckloads of the real stuff????
Shows how dumb this jackass really is!
    GO RAIDERS!!!!!!

  24. Hey Florio… you always wanna jab at the Bengals huh..
Well maybe if he RAPED A YOUNG GIRL he would get the Steelers attention..
    ooo snap!!

  25. Russell should start his own reality sitcom…We all know he has no future in the NFL..

  26. The report doesn’t give enough info. I want to know how much of the codeine he had or if he had a prescription. If he was selling or abusing the use of codeine then he’s screwed. If it was prescribed to him, then it’s an unjustified arrest.
Codeine is some dangerous stuff though. Could be a reason why he’s so lethargic all the time. You typically don’t want to do anything when you’re on that stuff (unless your Lil Wayne).

  27. This idiot could buy his own distillery … legally. What a complete nincompoop. How in the world could the entire NFL not realize how dumb this guy is ???

  28. no wonder he couldnt throw worth a cramp in the nfl, he developed that shoulder lean

  29. Codeine cough syrup is a serious problem in the South, especially in hip hop culture. A lot of people don’t realize how big it is, and for people saying nothing will come of it, look at Johnny Jolly. He may face prison time for it.

  30. That’s what happens when you give a gazillion $ to a dumbass with the IQ of a fencepost

  31. This is clearly untrue. Jamarcus would never be connected with anything “lean”.

  32. He definitely wasn’t drinking “the lean”, that’s for sure…

  33. Yah but look at the mug shot, he’s 6’6 for crying out loud.
    No wonder he got paid

  34. “Juice? WTF is Juice? I want some purple drank…mmm it’s purple”

  35. Florio: “Maybe he’s simply trying to get the Bengals’ attention.”
Maybe he could join forces with Pacman and make it Purple Rain at the strip club during a Prince song. Yes, I’m assuming that there still are strippers somewhere in Ohio that dance to Prince. It’s Ohio.

  36. “If he was arrested, isn’t it safe to assume it was over the legal amount?”====================================
Yea which is why I asked what amount? Regardless, my second post pretty much summed up what I was getting at in the first: They were looking for something else that was going on. No force is going to do all that for some codeine infraction.

    “@JonEvans

Where did I ever defend him? I’m impressed when I damage people’s egos that much that they end up spewing blind hatred on me and can’t even sum up the point I was making.
and again, I don’t know how stupid you are but I guess it’s on par with most of the forum. I attack hypocrisy, blind hatred, media induced blind hate/reporting etc and uphold the law and common sense. I don’t defend Vick, I defend the circumstances.

  37. Jamarcus waved up to me today from my toilet bowl. He said “Hidey Ho”.
I extended him the greeting of the day then I summarily flushed him away.
He has now re-emerged from the depths of the DC sewer system to spread his stank to all mankind.

  38. Don’t worry… We will see him in a Patriots uniform soon enough… I can see an ESPY coming his way, sooner than later. And now the winner of the “Best Fourth Quarter Mop-Up Duty Passer Hand Off to Third String Running Back Award” aka the “Matt Leinart”…….

Now I’m really confused, Jon Evans you’ve been yapping for how long about how you only go by facts. How the hell did you come to the conclusion they were looking for something else? Where are youre facts?

  41. its the Raiders fault, according to Tom Martinez. Wanna retract that dumbass statement now Tom?

  42. JaMarcus only used the codeine syrup to feel better after a Raider loss. I’m sure Goodell will understand. Well maybe not but now Russell can tell his next team that he’s going to rehab for dependency on condeine syrup and that his play will improve after rehab.

  43. Bunch of guys I went to high school used to drink that cough syrup with oj.
One guy died at his parent’s cabin when he choked on his own puke. Another dude’s heart stopped and he was DOA at the emergency room.

  44. Only Jamarcus Russell would get arrested for having some kind of SYRUP. Figures, the fat ass…

  45. From Jerry McDonald:

  46. Paging Dr. Kavorkian..Paging Dr. Kavorkian…
We have an ailing career in need of medical attention.

  47. Florio – you’re an an ass. Last time I checked, there were several teams with more arrests than the Bengals since 2007.
    Tool.

  48. An undercover investigation to get Codeine Cough Syrup, a substance that is over the counter in practically every other industrialized nation? The Drug War is over in the USA and Drugs won, Russell is a total bum, but C’mon.

  49. You guys see that in the sky? It’s JaMarcus’ career fluttering away.

  50. Cough medicine? Really? When you have millions of dollars, you can’t afford cocaine or heroin?

  51. Codeine comes from the pod juice of that wonderful poppy plant that our troops are protecting in Afghanistan. It is an Opiate just not a very potent one.
Russell must have been drinking a barrel of it to get his fat ass high.

  52. When Russell passed the cup of syrup to his mouth he probably missed that target as well

  53. He should be locked up for theft after what he did to the Raiders.

  54. Maybe he’s simply trying to get the Bengals’ attention.
    ——
naw, Bengals have nothing on the Packers now.

  55. Man, If you put this fool in the same room as Vick, their combined IQ is still in the single digits. These idiots need to go see the Wizard and try to buy a brain. Why in the hell a team would want one of these brainless wonders at the helm of a multi-billion dollar NFL machine is stupefying.

  56. Hey Florio & Tom Martinez,
Was this was the Raiders fault too? You Raider Hating douche bags!

Boy, slow joe is a good name for you. Not only is this codeine thing real, he’s not even the first NFL player to get arrested for it. Terrence Kiel of the Chargers was busted for it in 2006 and Johnny Jolly ex-of the Packers, was arrested in 2009.

  61. Looking at the mug shot, it doesn’t look like the purple drank makes you smile. I want a drink that makes me smile.

  62. I’m SHOCKED! — that it took so long for him to get busted for something.
I’m also betting he misspelled “cocaine” on the shopping list he gave to some flunky.

Ummmmmmm…………..no. You cannot get cough medicines with codeine over the counter. Codeine is a controlled substance. Look it up.
And I’m sure the police were probably looking for the codeine. Trafficking in illegally obtained codeine is not even that uncommon- Russell is the third NFL player to be arrested for it in the last 4 years. You can look that up too.

No, it teaches your son stupidity and ignorance since I never once defended him. i said the police had to have been after something else because no force is going to put out those resources for a simple codeine infraction.

haha you are so mistaken and as I figured (which I corrected in my second post).. since I knew someone would say something along these lines, i didn’t say in what context you can aquire it. #2 you are aware that Codeine shows up in exempt narcotic laws across the country right? You do know that it IS in many products in small amounts right?
Anyway, it depends on the state you live in. I know of places where you can buy over-the-counter cough syrup containing codeine. The cough syrups contain 100mg gaufinesin/10mg codeine per 5ml and have 115mL in the bottle. You can only buy 1 every 48 hours and they keep track of those who buy it, but regardless. i am 100% right in my statements as usual
#2 That wasn’t the point even tho I have an over-the-counter bottle my self (granted from quite a number of years back)
The point is I am better looking than you and I have done more than you in less amount of time which boils your blood. Oh wait, that wasnt the point… the Point is, They arent putting out undercover investigations into Codeine unless its EXTREMELY high amounts and for selling, not consumption.

again, i am 100% correct because I HAVE A B OTTLE. You can buy it in NC, VA, IL (I believe) and mutilple other states. You just see “codeine” and assume one thing. Sorry but you can get syrups without Codeine (tho it tends to be more so sold in privately-owned pharm’s and not chains.. since they don’t want to deal with the bs around it)
So maybe YOU should research it a little bit. Because again, Care to see a photo of mine? Hell, I might even have the reciept haha
“In certain jurisdictions, codeine is available over-the-counter in combination with guaifenesin or promethazine to be sold at the pharmacist’s discretion, though many pharmacists decline to do so”
Again, doesn’t it suck to know I know so much more about everything in this world than you do

  81. @ Ryan T
“Jon Evans the fake “lawyer” meet RyanT. the real pharmacist. Codeine is never available without a prescription!”
Actually, in Virginia, you can buy codeine cough syrup from behind the counter with a prescription. Thing is, you have to sign for it, and you can’t buy more than one bottle a month. I can’t speak for other states though.
I had a friend who was addicted to it a long time ago. He would give people a few bucks to go in sign for it for him. Sadly it wasn’t the lowest point in his life for him. Anyhow, JaStupid would have to have more than legally allowed in order to be arrested for this. Thing is, if he was given a search warrant for his home, the police had to be looking for bigger and better things.

For someone who claims to always deal “only in facts” you sure do love to speculate without knowing jack about the facts in this situation.
J-Russ was arrested by police for having codeine, (a controlled substance).
Now anyone with half a brain would speculate that obviously J-Russ had more than just a tiny amount of codeine on him to get arrested for it.
But, keep spinning like a rat in a wheel. I’m sure you’ll maybe convince someone you know what you’re talking about. Even though you and I both know how ignorant and uneducated you truly are.

Any team that signed this bum would be crazy. He does not have the mind and smarts to play the position of an NFL QB, period.

Now you’re latching on to Robitussen?
Do you have any idea at how low the content of codeine is in most otc cough syrups?
It is a tiny percentage! But, we are dealing with a real arrest here so anyone with half a brain knows that J-Russ didn’t get arrested for posessing an otc medication.
    Nice try at obfuscation though.
You playing the Robitussen card is like someone trying to play the Nyquil card for a DUI arrest.
And, trust me Nyquil has more alcohol in it than Robitussen has codeine!

  102. @ Ray Guy oes this surprise ANYONE? It was more a matter of “when” than “if”.
What about Brett Favre? How does he tie into this? (sarcasm)
    ‘………………………………………………………………………………….’
That, Ray Guy, is the million dollar question. As of right now we dont know but there have been rumbings out of Hattiesburg that Favre is involved but at a much higher level than Russell is of course.

  103. This sounds suspicious to me. Don’t get me wrong, I think Russell seems like a typical low-IQ athlete capable of phenomenally stupid decisions, but come on…codeine syrup?
I doubt anything comes of this.
no much will come of this…. it is illegal to be possession of a C2 substance without legal documentation that it is for u (ie – script). and depending on how much he had, he could be cited for just possession or intent to distribute…. take ecstacy for example, 4 or 5 pills may be possession, but a small amount of say 11 or 12 could be considered intent to distribute (different narcotics but u get the idea)
also companies are well within their legal rights to terminate an employee if he is found to have a prescription drug in his system and has no script for said drug…..
all this means IMO is that while he may get off scott free, what this does is it that much more difficult for him to ever step foot on the field as teams will pass and be weary of him…
in any case, good luck JR, hope the LSU education helps u in some way

  104. Still 100% correct about everything.
    Doesn’t it burn?
So he was wrong about one thing. Well, the problem with that is… He just broadcasted how he’s a “real pharmacist” and knows that ALL CODEINE based products cannot be sold without a prescription. Figured I would know something that simple if I decided to have a career in a pharmaceutical field.
OH WAIT A SECOND… hold on, what is Biopsychology and Behavioral neuroscience anyway? Hmm… I posted what I went to school for… it’s been noted. Oh wait, working with pharmaceutical companies to make drugs!
Granted I don’t do anything of the sort as a career (at least at this point) since I am pursuing more as an analyst… But.
Can you guys make it just a bit harder for me to destroy your points and logic?

  105. Jon Evans said:
This is why you are a blind uneducated tard. I never have EVER once said I was a lawyer. I said I went to school for Biopsychology and Behavioral Neuroscience and ticked on Criminal Justice on the side. /boggle where do you come up with these things?
    ===========================
What you are, Jon Evans, is an expert at quickly googling things and cut/pasting facts you find to make you look like an expert.
There is a difference between “knowing” something and spitting out a list of states where codeine may be available over the counter that you found on Google.
Your pseudo majors- Biopsychology and Behavioral Neuroscience- also sound awfully google-ish to me.
We’re all on to you- you’re not that smart.
You are also a LIAR- that whole post is a lie- you didn’t claim to have majored in those two things and “ticked on criminal justice” (whatever the hell that means) “on the side”. Your exact words from that infamous post on one of the Vick articles was that the “Law System” was your “second major”.
Smart people don’t deny saying something that is in print and can be easily referenced.
Why don’t you just state your opinions and stop harping on all of your immense qualifications and how you are always “100 percent right”. It really just exposes you for what you are- a silly, under-educated liar with a HUGE inferiority complex.

“Let’s see…we got some soda, oj, Purple Drank, and two kinds of Sunny D!”
    Amazing!

  107. Total racism. A Southern good ol’ boy, Favre, is addicted to Vicodin, and they all feel sorry for him. A Southern black man is addicted to codeine, and we book his azz right away and act like he is the worst criminal since Dillinger.

  108. Robitussin DAC is highly controlled.
For example, Jon Evans claims to have attended Rutgers University.
Which is in the state of New Jersey.
New Jersey only allows someone to purchase 4 ounces of Robitussin DAC a year!!!
4 ounces! This is what Jon Evans is latching on to?
    PATHETIC!

  109. Oh so I’m an expert at using google. OK> I did have to use google for other states (which I haven’t listed) but I knew of some off the top of my head since again, I own a bottle.
#2 How am I not “that smart”? how do you determine intelligence? It’s really not knowledge but the ability to collect and use atleast in my eyes.. (and most of the higher communty) (ex: I can find more intelligence in a poor man living in __insert 3rd world country___ than a professor at MIT. Just because one knows more than the other doesn’t mean they had access to the same material. ) So how do you define “smart”? or atleast, base that I lack “smarts” ?
yeah, law system. Anybody who went to school knows I just refered to it and didn’t make a “direct” statement regarding it. Aka, I also took criminal justice. See, that’s a direct statement, not a reference.
if I am a liar and I supposedly do it so much… why can you not find ONE thing that is a lie? hell, I offered personal proof in one of the threads even tho i knew it would be turned to “it was photoschopped, you made it up! someone else! gov’t conspiracy theory!” etc simply for the fun of it.
Anyway, yea.. I’m sure you can come up with a Psych degree with a concentration in neuroscience poping up all over the place.
Hey guess what, you can say anything you want. It still doesn’t change the fact I am 100% right. =)

  110. Jon Evans says:

OH WAIT A SECOND… hold on, what is Biopsychology and Behavioral neuroscience anyway? Hmm… I posted what I went to school for… it’s been noted. Oh wait, working with pharmaceutical companies to make drugs!
    ================================
Well, we all figured they must have something to with pharmaceuticals since that’s what you found when you googled “what do people in the pharmaceutical field major in”? Are do you use Yahoo Answers?
Either way, you are a liar. Your first post on this topic said codeine is “readily avail over the counter without a prescription up to a certain amount within a 24 hour period.” You then spent the next hour backtracking once you checked Google or Yahoo Answers or wherever and found out that wasn’t true.
You also obviously have very little understanding of drug abuse trends in the US- something you would think someone in your “field” would have at least a basic understanding of. Codeine abuse is a huge problem in many places, specifically Texas.

  111. Ryan T said Codeine not Codeine based products therefore making him correct. Codeine is a schedule 2 controlled substance.
Except when dispensed directly by a practitioner, other than a pharmacist, to an ultimate user, no controlled substance in schedule II, which is a prescription drug as determined under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act [21 U.S.C. 301 et seq.], may be dispensed without the written prescription of a practitioner
Ryan T is right in his statement, sorry Jon your going to have to stop tooting your little horn

  112. “4 ounces! This is what Jon Evans is latching on to?”
latching on to… No… YOU are the one who are attempting to spin things to change the topic. The fact of the matter is this’
===”Combine those traits and you have an idiot who believes that he is “right 100% of the time” and who stupidly believes that Codeine, (a controlled substance), is available over the counter!!!
Jon Evans the fake “lawyer” meet RyanT. the real pharmacist”===
Now that your credentials have been shot and I once again… was 100% right with my statement you want to spin it.
I only pointed out you CAN buy codeine based products in response to you and another person who claimed you cannot. (even going as far as saing they are a pharmacist haha)
The fact of the matter is this, They had to have found a sizeable amount of Codeine because you can BUY SMALL AMOUNTS LEGALLY (thanks for proving my point from the begining btw /boggle)
They aren’t going to put the resources into something like this unless they are looking for something else or they found enough to pin distribution etc on him.
you people amaze me with your stupidity. Anyway, to make sure you continue to post nonsense so that I and my loyal fans can laugh at…
I am once again 100% right

  113. Damn, you dudes in here hate on each other..
It’s the day after 4th of July, act like Americans not petulant children..
In any case, Jamarcus Russel needs some real friends and family in his life..
This dude had the world on a platter now he’s in lock over a drug that bums use..
If I had money and wanted to get high, I sure as $hit wouldn’t touch some low class stuff called “purple drank”
Johnny Walker Black label over here, bartender, and yes a tray of your finest ________

  114. K for those who don’t feel like reading through the posts to notice how badly I have destroyed these two.. heres a summary.
I said how much did he have? You can get it over the counter without a prescription.. they must have been going after him for something else because they won’t spend the resources for this.
RyanT the Pharmacist and some other people : YOU ARE IDIOT! DUMB! etc etc, You CANNOT buy Codeine products over the counter. YOU MUST HAVE A PRESCRIPTION.
I then posted the facts which completely destroy their statement since you can buy it WITHOUT a prescription. Case Point Match.
RyanT now tries to spin it that I am defending him or something and grasping onto a small amount is legal.
I however pointed out at the begining he had to have been most likely looked at for something else since you can buy Codeine Cough Syrup OTC.
    Point. Set. Match.
    Jon Evans

  115. I can’t stand it anymore! What a shame. I was surprised to hear he was arrested for cough syrup so I looked it up. Found some interesting facts. Then, asked my 14 year old who knew more about the Purple Drank that Wiki! Seems to be very common down here on the Gulf Coast.
Just because the young man is rich now, doesn’t mean he didn’t pick up some poor boy addictions earlier in life that followed him…

    1,000 Internets to you, sir.

  117. Damn it. I was gonna say Jamarcus was a bad QB, but atleast he didn’t get busted for drugs like Ryan Leaf. My mistake. The final nail in the coffin. Worst QB in NFL history, Jamarcus Russell.

  118. ahahahaha
Ryan35 (which is possibly RyanT’s alt, who knows) is trying to play word games. He directly responded to Me saying Codeine Cough Syrup multiple times and said you cannot get it over the counter because hes a pharmacist. You can play the word games alllllll you want, reading it is a different story.
God, It’s fun being beautiful.. oh and always being right.

  119. “Either way, you are a liar. i was waiting FOREVER (it seemed) for someone to take the bait on that one.
So I am still waiting for anyone to proove I am a liar… it’s said so much.. how come everyone here can’;t find ONE SIMPLE THING
IF I AM A LIAR POINT OUT ONE THING I HAVE LIED ABOUT AND PROVE IT.
haha.. god you people are worthless to argue with because you cant even construct valid points with a factual basis to support them.
Anyway, To kill your point without going into too much detail, I clearly stated also that IT DEPENDS ON THE STATE and JURISDICTION you are buying it in. I have bought it with a 24 hour window, some states are 48.. some could be 1 a week. Do I know those states and their regulations? No. have I claimed to? No.
anyway, way to take the bait. Or maby, everyone else knew what I was saying and didnt want to be made to be a fool.
hey look, this liar and idiot is still 100% right about everything

  120. Lol you’re the one playing word games, the only one that has said codeine based products is you, to simply cover up the fact that RyanT never said that. Again he said Codeine.
You really do have some serious issues, and no I am not RyanT and certainly am not a pharmacist.

  121. Wow… did I really just read this far down the list of comments?
Yeah, I skipped over some, but I think Jon Evans works for the PFT machine or something, because he/she made about 50 comments talking about how right he/she is.
So here comes the comment about how I am wrong about how he/she works for PFT… oh, and probably the exact number of posts that were made on this story, of which if I cared, I would have counted…..
Can we get the comment ratings back please, it has been only a year and some change, it might help some people… realizing they are not making good posts. Just sayin…..

  125. by the way jon these were youre lasted posted words before Ryan T said codeine can not be purchased without a prescription.
The point is I am better looking than you and I have done more than you in less amount of time which boils your blood. Oh wait, that wasnt the point… the Point is, They arent putting out undercover investigations into Codeine unless its EXTREMELY high amounts and for selling, not consumption.
So it makes sense that he was saying Codeine and not Codeine based products.

  126. Best Cincinnati joke in quite a while.
    I actually laughed out loud.
    Keep ’em coming.

“Ummmmmmm………… ..no. You cannot get cough medicines with codeine over the counter. Codeine is a controlled substance. Look it up.”
was the first statement I responded to with the fact that codeine is sold over the counter. he then responded with a whole bunch of nonsense to DEFEND THAT STATEMENT aka saying You cannot buy cough sysrup with codeine over the counter… and backed that up over 3 more responses. Thank you byebye
hey guys, doesnt it suck to know that this Idiot and “liar” (whom you still havent proven one thing to be a lie… /boggle) is 100% correct about everything I state. Damn it feels good to be better looking than you, oh I mean simply Better. =)

Is this like Fred G. Sanford’s Champipple?

    Hey Jon,
Debating on the internet is something akin to competing in the Special Olympics. Win or lose, you are still retarded. Get it?

  131. Wow. Purple Drank. NFL millionaire. Purple Drank. Millionaire. That Jamarcus is just full o’ surprises now, isn’t he? Purple Drank. Cripes allmighty, he did have his sights set low, no wonder the QB performance was shy.

  132. “Florio – you’re an an ass. Last time I checked, there were several teams with more arrests than the Bengals since 2007.
    Tool.”
    +++++++++++++
ditto, FloriHomo……….. Makes one wonder who else has some Purple Drank mixed in his corporate NBC coffee mug. Ur a jackass

  133. Wow, a Barry Horrowitz reference?? Love it….
    J. Evans is like that kid Neville on iCarly….You just want to smash him in the face. Just Sayin….

  134. I’m going to work hard in College,so I can get Drafted by an NFL Team,Get a Million-plus in Salaries,And then I’m going to buy Drugs with all my Millions,Because I can afford it,and then lose my Stature!
    How Stupid is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  135. ESPN’s got a great “Behind The Lines” video right now that looks at “Purple Drank” w/Jolley. Explains what it is, and why the drug is serious. Hit any JaBustus story on that site, and it’ll come up. Well worth a look.
Man, I thought Russell would actually land at the Jets & get cut in training camp. Looks like it’s straight to the UFL for YOU, young man.

  136. Try number 2
    Ghetto is as Ghetto does.
I hate this post approval process. If you happen to even MENTION anything that will offend Libtards like Florio you have to post multiple comments with complaints. A simple one line and they go all ObaMao on you and try to ban your free speech.

  137. What an absolute IDIOT!!!! Well I guess we understand why he did nothing in Oakland, oh yeah but get high! That would explain why he couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn while standing on it in regards to connecting with his receivers. Glad no other franchise plopped millions down for this moron!!!

  138. “Juice? WTF is Juice? I want some purple drank…mmm it’s purple”
    ———————–
“That’s the ingredients. Sugar. Water. And of course…purple.”

  139. jaCarcass… when are u available to run as a democrat for the US senate in south carolina?

  140. Not to defend Russell, but I have never heard of an undercover codeine sting. Marijuana, crack cocaine, heroin, yes but never codeine. Jamarcus must be the unluckiest S.O.B in the U.S.

  141. Hey Jon,
Debating on the internet is something akin to competing in the Special Olympics. Win or lose, you are still retarded. Get it?
    “=========
hey, you do understand that over-used quote is really only used by the less-informed/intelligent because it actually makes no sense.
I can argue a point on any matter in any form, Voice, phone, internet etc. Simply it being on the internet does not make someone “retarded” since you now shown you have a serious lacking of 2nd grade knowledge.. I’ll simply win without writing much. 🙂
hey, I look better than you.

  142. I would like to correct my post from mid-page. I meant to say without a prescription. You can by a codeine based cough syrup in Virginia without a prescription.( I know this, as live in Va., and had a friend addicted to the stuff)
Where John Evens gets it wrong in the case of Virginia, is that it’s only sold behind the counter. Not over the counter. As I mentioned before, you must sign for it, and can only buy one bottle a month, or every few weeks(I forget which).
It isn’t the prescription strength either. It’s basically Robitussin AC, and can also be bought in a generic form for a lower price. One bottle will buzz one person pretty good if they abuse it all by themselves.

  143. Mike, MDS and Gregg
why is the focus and money of these investigations spent on guys like Russel and Jolly rather the doctors/pharmacists that allow this; it is no different than busting the crack user rather than the dealer.
    Treatment; not conviction.
You guys have the power to bring light on the story
just cause the users are examples ready to be made doesn’t mean the dealers have immunity cause they’ve got an expensive degree.

  144. Jon Evans says:
hey, you do understand that over-used quote is really only used by the less-informed/intell igent because it actually makes no sense.
    *************
Is it that you don’t think that quote makes any sense, or is it that you just don’t understand it? Seriously…. You really don’t find it that hard a concept to grasp, do you? Maybe one day if you achieve your GED, it will suddenly come clear to you. I won’t hold my breath waiting, however.
    Keep trying, John-Boy! 🙂

  145. Ryan Leaf is PISSED! JaBustus has now taken over the number one loser draft pick in NFL history. It sucks being number two.
