A 2008 fifth-round pick of the Bengals, Jason Shirley has gone from defensive tackle to offensive guard to waived in just two short years.
The Bengals waived (non-football injury) Shirley on Monday, the fallout of a basketball injury suffered this offseason. It’s believed Shirley tore his Achilles’ tendon.
Shirley will revert to the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list if he passes through waivers.
