Cowboys ink Owusu-Ansah

Monday marked the unofficial end to summer vacation for most NFL teams. (And by Monday, we mean “today” but we’re not supposed to write “today” because you read this “tomorrow.”)

With front office back to work, we can expect a tidal wave of rookie signings over the next 10 days. And we’re going to faitully record them here, whether you like it or not.

The Cowboys knocked another agreement out on Monday, agreeing to a four-year contract with safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, according to his agent Nate Haber. (Haber has smartly realized that he can promote his company, complete with Twitter link, by breaking the news himself.)

Owus-Ansah played cornerback at Indiana (PA), but has the skills to be the free safety of the future for the Cowboys. For now, he’s trying to recover from an injured shoulder.
