More pressure arises for NFL to test for hGH

Recently, the CFL went from having no drug-testing policy to having a system that tests for hGH. Though Major League Baseball hasn’t engaged in such a dramatic swing of the pendulum, the sport that has faced the greatest stigma from performance-enhancing substances has added hGH to the cocktail of substances for which players will be tested.

MLB announced today (via Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post) that blood testing for hGH will commence in the minor leagues.

So when will football follow suit?

The NFL wants to do it, and the union is resisting, primarily because resistance provides leverage for other issues, like money.
