Dolphins agree to terms with Montavious Stanley

The Dolphins continue to add depth to their defensive line.

Two days after signing defensive end Marques Douglas, Miami reached agreement on a contract with defensive lineman Montavious Stanley, according to his agent Ralph Cindrich.

Stanley played defensive tackle last season in Jacksonville, but figures to play end in Miami’s 3-4 defense if he can beat the odds and make the team’s 53-man roster.

whoever named this man ” Montavious” should be in jail.
It’s just a matter of time

  2. That’s nice and all, but they really need a nose tackle. I like what they’ve done this offseason but the lack of a true NT (they’re using their best end as a NT…) does not bode well. Karlos Dansby better have a giant S on his chest.

  3. Rosenthal – Stanley is a nose tackle. He might be listed at 302, but he was an NT in Dallas and fits the mold of the Parcells nose tackle. The staff often doesn’t utilize 340-350 pounders at NT like some teams do. Look at Ferguson and Ratliff.
Vince – The Dolphins don’t need an NT at all. Starks was fantastic at DE last year and absolutely fits the mold of a Parcells NT. As I said to Greg, the Dolphins don’t use those Vince Wilfork/Keith Traylor-type nose tackles (except Soliai who is a Cameron holdover). Stanley was brought in by Parcells as an NT and was actually told to lose weight from 320.

  4. hes been on like 9268496 differant teams in 4 years. hopefully hell chose miami to start being good. but ill take anybody other than soliai
