Well, it’s apparently been settled. Pats quarterback Tom Brady has reported for training camp in New England, despite speculation that he could stay away for a few days or longer to protest the lack of progress on a contract extension.
Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports that Brady reported with the team’s rookies on Sunday. Per Caplan, quarterbacks were required to show up with the team’s rookies on July 25; veterans are required to report on July 28.
And, yes, teams may require quarterbacks and injured players to show up in advance of the launch of training camp, according to the league’s Player Personnel manual.
