Ticket sales remain a challenge for the Jaguars, but the franchise has successfully found a new way to bring in revenue this year.
WJXT reports the team sold its naming rights to Jacksonville-based Everbank, ending three years where Jacksonville Municipal Stadium did not have a naming sponsor. The Jaguars used to play in “Alltell Stadium” until 2006, a fact we had totally forgotten.
We get a lot of grief here for being negative realistic about the Jaguars’ future in Jacksonville, but here’s hoping that the Everbank name stays attached to the stadium for a long, long time.
