Aaron Glenn retires as a Texan

After 15 seasons, veteran defensive back Aaron Glenn finally is calling it quits. On Wednesday, he’ll sign a one-day contract with one of the various teams with which he played.

He’ll retire with the Texans. The team made the announcement earlier this evening.

Glenn has picked the Texans even though he spent only three seasons with the team. In contrast, he was a member of the Jets for eight years. He also spent two seasons with the Cowboys, one with the Jaguars, and one with the Saints. Glenn last played in 2008, landing on injured reserve in late November.

Picked 12th overall by the Pete Carroll-coached Jets in 1994, Glenn was a member of the first Texans team in 2002. He qualified for the Pro Bowl that year, for the third and final time of his career.
