With new deal possibly coming, Darnell Dockett won't hold out

Several of you have pointed out some cryptic comments from Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, who recently seemed to hint at a possible holdout on his Twitter page by saying that he “never wanted things to get this far.”

But a league source tells us that Dockett, who has been trying to get a new contract for a couple of years, will not hold out of training camp.

Per the source, the Cardinals and Dockett are working on a new contract.  Coach Ken Whisenhunt recently said regarding Dockett’s financial situation, “We’re going to get this thing done.”

Dockett is signed through 2011, at base salaries of $3.75 million and $4 million over the next two years, respectively.
