Ronnie Brown, Brandon Marshall ready on day one

The surprise hip surgery for Brandon Marshall looks like old news.  Ronnie Brown is finally recovered fully recovered from his foot injury.

The Miami Dolphins, in year three since “The Triumverate” hit town, are ready to go.

I’ve said all offseason that the AFC East is a three-way battle, with the Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots all boasting an equal chance to win the division title.  The healthy start to training camp for two big Miami offensive stars only supports the case.

It’s wildly early, but here are a few other nuggets based on how the team lined up Friday.

Brian Hartline started out with the first team.  (He’s battling Greg Camarillo and Davone Bess for a starting gig, although Bess belongs in the slot.)

Cameron Wake and Koa Misi started out with the first team outside linebacker, while Jared Odrick lined up as a starter across from Kendall Langford at defensive end.

This group continues to get younger, but I think that’s a good thing.

Is this some kind of OpEd????

There, fixed that for you Greg, lol.

  3. Defensive Ends don’t line up across from each other. It’s painfully obvious that Rosenthal couldn’t navigate himself into a pair of pads.

  4. Well someone just leaked their favorite team… ::points at you Rosenthal::
Toothpaste colored football teams dont worry me though

  5. It is very good that the Fins are getting younger. There is good depth on this team whether the rookies or the vets start.

  6. Every season the Miami fans worship a savior. And every year they suck. (Except for when a Jet came in)
We’ve been through it all. Saban, Long, Ronnie Brown, Marshall. And every year the Dolphins are a playoffless suckwad.
    2010
    Jets 12-4
    Pats 9-7
    Bills 5-11
    Fins 5-11

  7. LOL! We haven’t won a Super Bowl since 73, so technically we do suck, but how long has it been since Namath made his bold prediction?
Jests are little crybabies, so are their fans.
    End of discussion.

  8. Brandon Marshall will miss Kyle Orton. Luckily he learned to tackle well playing with Cutler.

  9. I’d like to see the Rex Ryan led Jets actually beat the Finz before I can take Jet fans seriously.

  10. the Jets have too much ego, the pats have no chemistry and are falling apart, the dolphins are a young team, and the bills…. But its going take up to like week 15 to decide the afc east champ but it may be crazy believe all three of those teams could make the playoffs. But for all we know the bills could win division. we just gotta wait till week 17 to see

Typical uneducated jet fan comment as usual – what have the jets done before last year, Genius!?!????!!. Cock…..nothing so shut the F-up you complete moron, win something before u talk idiot.

  12. NYMET, funny how you are a met fan too. Funny how you like both second rate teams in New York! The Jets being the latter….. point is…. How many coaches have the Jets had in the last 20 years because they have sucked for sooooo long and you have the audacity to bring up Saban?? As fror Long he has more talent in his pinky than D’Brick has in his whole fat slow body!! Marshall, well you’ll be having nightmares of him come Sunday night in September….the thing is…..you know it!!! C’mon Met turdboy…..you know it!! The Dolphins are gonna whip your paper champions AGAIN this year!!! YOU KNOW IT!!!! METBOY!!!

  13. @NYMETS
Now, that’s just plain funny. Every year the jests fans worship their new coach — FOR ONE YEAR!!!!! Until the following year when they prove to be a one-hit wonder. Can you say Herm Edwards? Rich Kotite? Eric Mangenious? You jests fans are just way too funny.

  14. Jets had a beast at RB last year in Jones. Where is he now? The Defense was the strong point and that was the forte was kill the clock and play D. HOW THE HELL are you going to run the clock out with LT and Green? Looks like its in Dirty Sanchez hands. Let’s face it. You lost your gameplan that made you guys “GOOD” last year. And the Dolphins just got better and HEALTHY! Last time we stayed healthy all year was ’09, when we won the division and we are better then we were then and its now three years into the Tuna Regime and its time to pu these pieces in motion and get us another AFC East Title and a strong playoff push! Marshall is a BEAST! and Ronnie And Ricky getting the ball is unstoppable! FEAR THE PHISH!!!
