Ronnie Brown, Brandon Marshall ready on day one

The surprise hip surgery for Brandon Marshall looks like old news. Ronnie Brown is finally recovered fully recovered from his foot injury.

The Miami Dolphins, in year three since “The Triumverate” hit town, are ready to go.

I’ve said all offseason that the AFC East is a three-way battle, with the Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots all boasting an equal chance to win the division title. The healthy start to training camp for two big Miami offensive stars only supports the case.

It’s wildly early, but here are a few other nuggets based on how the team lined up Friday.

Brian Hartline started out with the first team. (He’s battling Greg Camarillo and Davone Bess for a starting gig, although Bess belongs in the slot.)

Cameron Wake and Koa Misi started out with the first team outside linebacker, while Jared Odrick lined up as a starter across from Kendall Langford at defensive end.

This group continues to get younger, but I think that’s a good thing.
