Meet Friar Tebow

In the eyes of many, Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow is God.  (Or, at a minimum, His Son.)

In the eyes of his teammates, Tebow is merely a friar.

Our pal Brooks at SportsByBrooks.com has the visual evidence.  We’re speechless.

    Too late….that happened months ago. If I remember correctly, Tebow picked up the phone and spoke with Mr. Florio personally, and Mr. Florio became a fan.
    It was hilarious. I haven’t seen anyone do a 180 like that since Tyson’s post-fight presser after Holyfield beat his ass the first time.

    Actually I think people dislike him and consider him a phony because empirical evidence suggests that 10 out of 10 people who claim to be as straight and narrow as he does are complete and total hypocrites.
    So really, it’s not entirely his fault….it’s the fault of everyone he aligns himself with.

    Yeah, and NFL locker rooms are also a majority representation of the uneducated, lower classes of American society. Most of them didn’t even bother to absorb any education on their free rides in college. (Just look at the 80% bankruptcy rates after their NFL careers for an example) So yeah, religious piousness is represented very well by the NFL locker rooms, as well as by the majority of other bible-bangers in the general population.

    Great argument, nozzle. A “love it or leave it” response if I’ve ever heard one.
    So judging from your post, this is not only a football blog site, but a comedy site, and a religious-bashing site as well? I also wasn’t aware that this was a site where people’s personal beliefs are raped on a daily basis and then told to get over it. If a pack of wild pygmy monkeys ever breaks into your mom’s house and starts having their way with her, would it be acceptable for somebody to tell you, “Well, if you don’t like it, don’t watch?”
    I’m extremely non-religious…but you assholes that pass judgment and campaign against somebody that is religious is just as bad, and probably worse, than a religious zealot that proclaims all that don’t follow are doomed to hell. The two are the exact same animal… but at least one of them (the religious-freaks) have a sense of human decency, compassion, and values.
    If there does happen to be an afterlife, whether it be the traditional Chrisian-Judeo type or some Space Monkey afterlife, I’m pretty sure those that hate the most whole-heartedly will be roasting marshmellows with Satan.
    It’s not about being right or wrong, but is it too much to askk to respect other people’s beliefs?
