There’s a strange vibe emanating from Minnesota. Apart from the neverending Favre watch, the team is missing several key weapons, including receiver Sidney Rice and receiver Percy Harvin.
And it’s hard not to wonder whether guys like Rice and Harvin are taking advantage of the special no-camp privileges that the team has afforded to No. 4. Really, if the quarterback doesn’t need to be there, why do they?
It’s all the more reason for No. 4 to get his mangled ankle to Mankato. In the interim, teammates continue to talk about the guy who may be wise to stay home, given the uncertain status of Rice and Harvin -- and given the steady rise of the Packers and the presence of Julius Peppers on the Chicago defense.
