Short night for Vikings starters

Currently on the NFL.com Preseason Live package, we’re waiting to see A.J. Feeley make his exit and Sam Bradford make his entrance at quarterback for the Rams.

Meanwhile, if we would have blinked, we would have missed Vikings “starter” Tarvaris Jackson.

The Minnesota starting offense was on the field for one drive, with Jackson completing two of four passes for 11 yards.

Per Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Sage Rosenfels is expected to play quarterback through the third quarter, which seems to suggest that Rosenfels is available in trade -- and that the Vikings still expect Brett Favre to show up before Week 1.

The Vikings’ starting defense also left after one drive, meaning that Bradford won’t have to risk getting tied, stuck, and cooked on a spit by Jared Allen.
